This is a place with a traditional roman kitchen, with a long wine list.
One thing you should know about this place is that you can't make a reservation earlier and if you show up at lunch or dinner time you might have to wait...even for 40 min to get a table.
The tables out are maybe too small and their si too many so it's not really comfortable. But the place has its own charm and the food is really good!More
Fabulous wine list in a chilled setting with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food looked delicious but we just had some homemade pate (they were even kind enough to bring me some olives and rice crackers so I could enjoy the nibbles too! Do not miss!
We had been walking around Rome for quite a while and it wasn't quite time for dinner, but we felt we needed something to refresh our ourselves with a nice bottle of wine and a quick snack.
We visited in August when Covid is still...very much around but had it booked for months and as flights were aloud out of the UK and into Italy and back we decided to risk it, there were quite a few people around but no where near as many as there should be so we were able to get a table no problem. Sat outside and as it was quiet, we were able to have a good chat with the owner, sorry didn't get your name.
I ordered the cheese board, Hubby ordered the meat platter. I shared my cheese with him as there was too much for me, four huge slices of different cheeses, all very very good.
While we were sat there an old guy arrived on his pedal bike and spent about 40 minuntes sweeping around the piazza before hiding his dustpan and brush and pedalling off. He was so happy in his work, it was lovely to watch him. If anyone knows who he is we'd love to know.
Highly recommend this place for food and they have thousands of bottles of great wine.More
It's a really small place (we sat inside) but the wine list and tha food was excellent! We had the duck ragu and the lasagna and they were amazing. The service was a bit off but it didn't affect our experience at all.
Remember unrestricted travel and normal dining? Hard to believe how things have changed since January, when we had a delicious lunch at Cul de Sac. The winter menu features a duck ravioli that must be tasted. They also have a Cesanese that I like -...part of my quest to sample the unappreciated wines of Lazio. Lunch with quite a bit of wine was 49 Euro. How I miss Rome.More
When we stayed in Rome in a B&B, our host recommended this restaurant to us as it was just around the corner and it did not let us down, the food was authentic Roman style, very delicious, highly recommend you try when in Rome.
A little wait to be seat which is always a good sign. Seated outside due to it being too busy inside. Got the meat platter and a bottle of Chianti on the waiters recommendtion. Great tasting wine that really complimented the meal. Highly recommended.
People recommended this place as a place with great wine collection and interesting tasty side dished such as different kinds of fuagra, cheese, sausage etc. Wine and side dishes were very good and tasty. Staff allowed us choose a table (place full by locals) –...two minutes later restaurant was full. Tables place very closed.More
I have been going to this restaurant for nearly 20 years. I continued to take my guests there, even though I found out that their food is Precooked in the kitchen over the road and reheated in microwave in the restaurant. Yesterday I ordered onion...soap. But got served cheese and onion melt. I told the waiter that I am intolerant to diary and cant have this and that they should've specified that there its a cheese and onion soup. I got attached by the owner the waiter for complaining. Was not given an apology and made feel embarrassed in front of my guests and other tables. At which point I lost my appetite. Go there with an open mind for an average quality, precooked and overpriced food and unpleasant service.More
