Wonderful patisserie! We had croissants, mini fig and prosciutto roll, Japanese cotton cake and parisienne flan. All absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented selection inside and very friendly staff!

A peaceful yet delicious breakfast at Le Levain, amazing pastries, sandwiches and cakes combined with a warm welcome, kind hospitality and excellent service. Even the coffee machine makes great coffee ! Not much more to add, just if you are looking for a sweet, five...star breakfast experience, this is a perfect choice.More

It looks and smells just like a good pastry shop in Paris! The bakery items tasted as good as they looked. They also had sandwiches for sale that looked terrific but we had just come for the pastries to take back for dessert that night....It is as good as the other reviews said it would be, service was good and the prices were reasonable. This place blows away all the Italian pastry shops we have seen in Rome. It is just a short walk south of the Basilica of Saint Mary in Travestere. We will be going back!More

Not a place to sit and spend time, but the pastries are good. The coffee is self service automatic espresso machine so OK, but nothing to write home about.

We have been going there for every day once or twice while we stayed in Trastevere for a week. This great patisserie and boulangerie have great variety pastries, macaron, breads and sandwiches. Even better than those in Paris or New York. Self service machine cappuccino...is surprisingly very good. Some reviewer gave lower rating because machine self served coffee but We got to like it and had it twice a day. I guess because the machine made coffee has consistent taste than man made. We wish we have that machine at home. There are few seats to seat and always busy. It is efficiently run. Some reviewer said they are rude but most of staffs are veey friendly and patient with tourists maybe few are less friendly.More

Absolutely loved this lovely little patisserie. We eat breakfast here every day on our roman holiday. Very good prices. And very tasty food.

My 8 year old daughter loves this place! it is in our neighborhood and she wants to eat here for the next 2 months! She loves the macaroons and madelines. I had a lovely cinnamon bun and quiche lorraine. Lovely staff. I don't know how...she will survive when we head back to the USA!More

We visited three days in a row and tried the bread, croissants, Madeleine cakes and not least their special cakes, which are highly recommendable.

Their cakes are very good but they do not get many stars for their machine coffee. Britta from Denmark

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
