We visited three days in a row and tried the bread, croissants, Madeleine cakes and not least their special cakes, which are highly recommendable.

Their cakes are very good but they do not get many stars for their machine coffee. Britta from Denmark

My wife, Mrs. Sothoth, was anxious to try Le Levain during our recent stay in Trastevere, so we went for breakfast. Good assortment of pastries as well of loaves of bread. Only surprise was that coffee is self-service from a pod machine. I had a...More

The taste of the chicken sandwich was awesome. The breads are very good too. The only point is that the coffee you get from a machine which is a bit pricey.

While walking hungrily around Trastevere, we found this gem of a restaurant. Great selection of foods and treats. Highly recommend.

We loved this shop at first sight. This is a French bakery and pastry shop, so if anything, the butter should be on point and we're happy to say, that you can really taste the high quality butter and ingredients they use. It's a nice,...More

This is the “go to” French Bakery in Rome. It is amazing, but a little pricey. If you are disappointed at the quality of baked goods in Italy, go here and see what a croissant is supposed to taste like. Of course, you won’t actually...More

Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded

streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
