Very good restaurant at the Jewish ghetto of Rome. The stuffed zucchini blossoms and the artichokes Judea are delicious. Excellent service. Surely a place to go if you visit Rome.

The "artichoke Judea" was outstanding. The gnocchi ridiculous. Service fantastic. The only trouble is it can be hard to find so give yourself time to do so, and to explore the Jewish Ghetto - a remarkable place.

Ate outside on a warm evening. The stuffed zucchini blossoms, fettuccini, and carchiofi Guida are excellent.

Bert Wolf was right this place is great- the atmosphere and food best we had in Rome. The famous fried artichokes were worth every penny. The gnocchi clouds from heaven.Unfortunetly, they were not making their specialty dessert that night because it was too hot. We will have to go back to have the "grandfathers balls" fried riccotta balls studded with... More

We loved the space, the service and the food - by far one of our top meals. Surrounded mostly by Italians. I think it helped that my husband was able to address the owner in Italian regarding our reservation. Enjoyed the artichokes, zucchini flowers, carbonara, gnocchi amatriciana, wild strawberries with gelato and tiramisu with great wine pairings.

Piperno is a truly great restaurant, and I can only suppose that the modest rank among Roman restaurants go to the high price. Atmosphere where we were seated two nights ago on the outside terrace was lovely. Everyone around us was Italian. Service was excellent and courteous. But it was the food that justified the price. The carcioffi a la... More

We went here for a Sunday lunch. It was nice to be out of the hustle of Rome and the location is wonderful. The food wasn't anything to rave about, vegetables and potatoes had to be paid for separately and at the prices charged you would expect these to be included. Service was good but felt quite rushed for an... More

We were suggested this restaurant by our tour guide Bruno (Rome City Tours) and it was well worth the money! The restaurant is not cheap but has a good quality/price ratio. The food is really delicious. We tried dome local specialties suggested by our tour guide as the fried cod fillets and Roman Artichokes that we will never forget. They... More

Thursday, July 28, we toured the spectacular Capitoline Museum and had plans to dine at Giggetto that evening. Our concierge called many times, only to find out later that Giggetto was already closed for summer vacation. The obvious alternative was Piperno which we immediatley booked. In the heart of the Jewish Ghetto of Rome, our head waiter was Gentilissimo Claudio,... More

Our group of six arrived at the premises 15 minutes before the dinner opening time - 7:45 PM. It was drizzling and windy outside, and we had two seniors in our group. One gentleman, who seemed to be the restaurant owner, was sitting inside and we called him. In Italian, we asked him if we could wait inside the restaurant,... More
