Well worth a visit

Two really great lunches here, the house mixed starter is wonderful, the pasta al dente and the service friendly, helpful and attentive. Tellingly patronised by the locals it is well worth a visit.

It has been some years since I have eaten at L'Orso, and a dleight to find that in every way it is as good as ever. The menu is interesting and carefully considered, and the food is fresh and beautifully prepared. Service is relaxed and friendly. Well worth making a detour to visit.

If you are in the Palazzo Navona area and you are looking for a really nice spot to enjoy a casual, relaxing meal, this is the place. An excellent restaurant with an abundance of choices for both food and wine. Try the House Antipasta with 15 dishes that will serve as both an appetizer and a main course and all... More

Restaurant is a classic, mid-range place whose specialties are vegetarian and meatball antipasti. We had a mixed plate of the house specials, which included marinated mushrooms, grilled eggplant and zucchini, fried mozzarella, and spectacularly delicious meatballs. Also worth trying are the pastas. They make a great Amatriciana and carbonara, and a terrific white sauce lasagna that set the standard in... More

We visited Orso 80 for new year's evening dinner. It is a big seafood restaurant unlike other places in Rome having limited seating. It is hard to comment about a restaurant serving fixed menu to a number of people at the same time on new years evening but you expect something when you pay double price due to the timing.... More

We went o this restaurant after our host recommended it. We were pretty tired and not awfully hungry so only had the pasta. And all three dishes were fabulous. The pasta is home made and the sauces were competent. I had a seafood dish with mussels, pi pis, crawfish, calamari, prawns etc. Altogether a very decent meal.

Great restaurant full of locals a bit away from the most touristic places. Standard Roman fare – artichokes, pastas, saltimbocca. Portions are large, served with a smile. They also have good soups and desserts. A “safe space” in Rome.

We had a great time. The waiters were polite, the location was very attractive and food was really good, even though we had to wait for a while. it's worth trying it out.

Our apartment in Rome was on Via Dell'Orso. So one evening when we were tired we decided to eat close to home. What a great choice! We liked it so much that we celebrated our last day in Rome at L'Orso 80! We liked all the extras that the restaurant provided but the service from Simone was the highlight, both... More

Stumbled upon this place after walking back from Vatican. Food was good but not very friendly staff. Wish they would have explained menu/specials more as we saw other guests receiving items that did not appear on the menu but were apparently available. Food was good, but a little Italian would help in this place. Not a bad place in a... More
