This great family run restaurant is on a side street close to the Coliseum. The food was excellent - perfectly cooked pasta and veal! Delicious and reasonable.

It's a family run restaurant, where you can stop and enjoy great pasta! The food is delicious, prices are a bit high but it's next to the Colosseo, so you cannot expect to eat on a low budget. Five stars because i don't think you can find better food in such a touristy neighbourhood!

Staff was really friendly. Food was awesome. Manager spoke very good English. Not far from the coliseum.

What I love about this place is I know for sure that I am going to get really perfectly cooked pasta, ideally spaghetti alla vongole and a perfect carciofo romano, always good service and reasonable price. I like the old fashioned feel of the place as if it has been there for ever.

Good food and wine with an attentive and friendly host. We all enjoyed an excellent evening meal at this small but pleasant location only a shot walk from the Colosseum. A nice touch was lemon-cellos on the house to finish the meal

Nerone is a traditional trattoria located very close to the Colosseum. Service was great, prices very reasonable and food great quality and good quantity. We had the lasagna, pasta bolognese, veal cutlet and buffet. All very good. Recommend for quality authentic Italian food.

Nice, local restaurant. Although located close to the Colosseum it has a relaxed not-touristic atmosphere. The ossobuco is delicious. The house wine is nice and not expensive. We have been in the restaurant twice this week and we will be there again in upcoming weeks as we will be staying in Rome for another 3 weeks.

We had some typical Roman dishes: saltimbocca and a number of vegetables as sides. Everything was very good along with the house wine. The desserts we choose were good as well, although in small portions. We sit outside from where we could see a bit of the Colosseum. Probably the very central position plays an important role in the price... More

The service was excellent. The cooking was fantastic. Tortellini in brodo, capelli in brodo, shrimps, ravioli, veal, tiramitsu, lemon chello. The pasta was home made and soft as a pillow. The brodo was gentle yet flavorfull. Don Corleone was sitting at his table with his dog watching that all was to his liking (i kid you not....except the name). The... More
