Poor service and ordinary food. Outdoor tables were rudimentary with plastic chairs. Rome is full of same kind of restaurants, or much better in fact. We were disappointed.

Great Service, outdoor tables, the "fritti" are a very good appetizer A thin roman pizza as the ancient romans had.

We were big fans of Baffetto and Dar Poeta, but on our 5th trip to Rome we thought we'd try something new. We are HUGE roman pizza fans and pretty much eat taglio for lunch and pizzas for dinner for every meal when we're there. We ended up at Ivo three times in our short trip, it was so stellar.... More

We got the tomato bruschetta as a starter and I kid you not, it was the best one I've ever had. The cherry tomatoes were so fresh and the bread had the right amount of olive oil and crispness. Would go back just for that!

This place was recommended by an expat who has been going there since the 70s and it lived up to the hype. This was the best pizza we had in Italy during our 12 day stay across 4 different cities! And we made sure to try pizza in every city.

We ate dinner here our first night in Rome. I had the Arrabiata and it was scrumptious! Had a nice kick so be sure you like spicy. Others were very happy with their pizzas. I high;y recommend it!

The restaurant was recommended in Lonely planet guide book. The visit was disappointing. I ordered ravioli with spinach, that was ok but nothing more. My fiancé ordered spaghetti with shrimps/scampi. The paste was not cocked properly and was to much "al dente" the shrimps was small and not fresh. The worst thing was the service. A lot of waiters on... More

Truly one of the best pizzas I've eaten. Salmon and Brie are a match made in heaven. Fun atmosphere and clearly popular with locals. Service a little too brisk but that can be forgiven thanks to the quality of the food.

It's a good idea to book in advance when eating here, as it seems very popular with the locals. The restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside, and is sparsely furnished. The food was excellent - in particular the very thin-crust pizza. However the service was erratic - there seemed to be too few waiters to deal... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
