We have choosen this restau because it is one of the zone in that has giod quality of food and value of money. Pizza's are done in a traditional way and fresh upon request and you have to taste the Vino in casa. Good place to spent a night with friends!

Excellent food, great service, authentic Italian atmosphere. The waiters treated us well and the children were at home. It was busy and crowded but just added to the experience.

So to say that this is a tourist trap in an understatement. The house wine was basically vinegar which I would forgive. I would also forgive our bruschetta never arriving. But what is unforgivable is stale carbonara.... in Rome? I've never had worse carbonara in Italy. It was just not done right. I'm sorry if this review is vitriolic but... More

Although our meal was adequate, I feel that reviews (and maybe social media) from the past years has created a restaurant designed to feed many tourists as quickly as possible. Waiters were literally running to and fro. Our wine did not arrive until late in the meal.

We went for 7 days in Rome and tried a lot of places to eat, but this food was the best by far. It was recommended to me by a friend who is a chef. He said he thinks that they do the best pizza in the world. The food is exceptional, the menu is traditional italian, and all the... More

If you do not want to go to where the tourists go, make sure you eat here. Fantastic food, inexpensive, great service even though our waiter was very busy, friendly atmosphere, a bang for your euro! Only regret - we didn't have enough time to go back a second time.

Worst pasta ever ordered. I ordered caci i pepe. and could not eat it, very salty and the sauce had a weird taste like old cheese...the pizza and tiramisu decent also the service.

The place is packed on weekends and the food was good. Decent prices. The most classic for us is the “Buffala” with fresh mozzarella, basil and tomato (and cherry tomato); but the apple Gorgonzola (with white sauce), sausage and mushroom in red sauce was also good

The place was packed on a Sunday for lunch and the food was pretty good, but I had a bad experience with my food being significantly delayed. Seems as if there was some sort of mix up and they simply didn't put the order through. Aside from that, I can honestly say that the food was good and the prices... More

Big and crowded place, pizzas were good, but not spectacular. Extense menu. Service was fast and good, and the prices are low.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
