Lovely place! Very good pasta and pizza and loveliest staff in town! Pesto pasta was really something special! Pizza is wonderful! You can have a white sauce pizza or the original tomato sauce pizza. Ivo opens it's doors on the evening somewhere aroung 6pm. You don't need a table reservation but there might be a queue. However the staff is... More

I recently visited this restaurant with my sister and her friends. Very tasty food, and they know that it is not all the tourists) Close to eight in the evening was not a single empty seat, but people will never cease to pursue this obvious advantage. Here I ate the best pizza in my life.

There were so many options for pizza, which made based on traditional roman recipies. We had such an amazing time there, but it was so busy, The restaraunt opened at 6, and within the hour there were no tables left. We ordered 3 different pizzas, arancini(rice balls) and for dessert, we ordered pizza nutella. Totally recommend this one!

The local was full so we sat on plactic chaies outside which had very limited space. The Service was kind but it seems they were understaffed because we had to wait too long to be served- long wait for the food as well. Ewe had two large pizzas which were really tasty with good quality ingredients but had severly burnt... More

This is a busy local restaurant which does a busy trade in take away pizza and which is very busy and service is efficient. I had pasta arrabiata which was very tomatoy and the helping was very generous. The house wine was fine and reasoable. The lemon sorbet was served with a straw & was delicious. With two coffees our... More

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and most of all their pizzas are divine - there s a wide choice of pizzas - I opted for one with Mozzarella, Apples and Gorgonzola bits - it was very good !!! It was highly recommended by our Italian friends - we ll definitely go when in Rome again !

Ivo is a simple and traditional pizzeria in the heart of Trasterver serving authentic Roman-style pizzas. So, I wouldn't go to this place for anything else other than pizza. We went there early in the afternoon and it was easy to get seated - 20 minutes later, not a single table was empty! We ordered 2 pizzas (the salame and... More

I wasn't expecting much on entering this rather brash looking pizzeria in the heart of Trastevere. The interior is over-lit and sterile with an extraordinarily mismatched set of poorly executed paintings, cheaply framed photographs and what looked like certificates of some sort or another. The service however, was prompt, friendly and encouraging. The menu starts with several pages of beers... More

The pizza and wine were ok, the service was slow but it was very busy. We asked for the bill and it came to 34 euro. I gave the waiter 40 euro, and, unlike with the Italian clientele, our waiter asked to keep the change of 6 euro ! I am happy to tip but he made it embarrassing for... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
