We were recommended this restaurant by our friends living in Milano. We were not disappointed. In fact, great choice, after a bad meal at a restaurant famous for carbonara the night before. The carbonara at this restaurant was MUCH better than the one reviewed as one of the best places in Rome. If you are in the vicinity, try it.

We dined here twice as we loved the food and comfortable atmosphere. The pizzas, pasta and veal dishes were all excellent. And we had to have our favourite dessert here again - limone sorbetto with limoncello - a great find.

First night in Roma. Walked down the hill from Villa Magnolia into Trastavere to find dinner. Found this place. OMG. Service was great, even when a group of about 50 novitiates came for dinner (inside). We were outside and had the leisurely Roman dinner--drinks, appetizers, main dishes (and wine), and desert. Food was fabulous, and reasonably priced. Service was impeccable.... More

It was a lovely place with reasonable prices and good food, specially spaghetti alle vongole was really good. Two of us had pizzas, also delicious. Service was quick, attentive and warm.

This spot is a worth a visit if you're looking for a very basic Italian restaurant menu. Nothing fancy, but some nights that can be exactly what you're looking for. Service was a little slow, but you're on vacation so what's the rush!? The wait staff made up for it by being very friendly and accommodating. Best part is the... More

After just arriving in Rome from Venice, lots of walking and only an apple for breakfast we. were. starving! We found another restaurant on tripadvisor we were interested in but following the directions, it didn't seem to exist anymore. We stumbled past Alle Fratte Di Trastevere and checked out the menu, took a seat and got Gnocchi, Fettuccini Bolognese and... More

Great option in trastevere, very good service, food and location. We were also surprised by the extremely reasonable bill. Very amicable hosts, fresh food and typical Rome traditional dishes are granted. 5 stars, nothing less

Popped in here after looking at a few places nearby. Our last night on holiday so wanted to find somewhere nice to end the trip. It did not disappoint with friendly and quick service, great food and reasonable prices. Worth a visit if in the area. Plus they serve large beers as some places do not and this made me... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
