Perfect place to eat local specialties. Had a mixed starter with octopus salad, panzanella (tomato and bread mixed together) plus bacala mantecato, all very good. Then ricotta-stuffed ravioli wth shrimp sauce, perfect. The main dish was bacala alla romana. Every tasted good, the prices were reasonable and the staff was ok. It's not a smart place and the waiters can... More

Found this place by chance, the staff was very young and looked a bit scruffy but were very polite and friendly. I ordered a mixed antipasti, Chianti-braised cheek with chicory and zabaione. I also tried the house wine after the waiter's suggestions. The atmosphere was very relaxed and chilled. Everything was excellent: the wine was just what i was looking... More

This gem of a restaurant is located just off of the main square. The service was excellent, from the host to the servers. Everyone was just so nice. My husband and I both had the cacio e pepe and absolutely LOVED it. Perfect portion size, pasta was al dente, just enough pepper and cheese. Large selection of wine. The homemade... More

We had planned to go the restaurant across from this one, owned by the same people, on our first night in Rome. It was booked and they recommended eating here. We can't imagine it any better. Service was wonderful and the food was so delicious. Homemade pasta with subtle sauces, wonderful olive oil and fabulous wine in a lovely setting.... More

This place was recommended by some locals and it did not disappoint. Great traditional roman food. I had a wonderful amatriciana pasta and my friend had the best cacao e pepe on the trip. Service was great and atmosphere nice. Can't go wrong with this restaurant for some good roman classics and relaxing evening.

This was one of many restaurants recommended from a local of Rome. The food was outstanding! The Carbonara was the very tasty, I wanted to lick my plate! The service was OK.... Price was good.

We have been in Rome many times over a period of 30 years, and this is our favorite restaurant there. There's nothing fussy or pretentious about the staff or surroundings, maybe the down-to-earthness and lack of splendor are why some folks here have been less impressed than we are. It's in a small piazza just off the Campo dei Fiori. A... More

Does not look like much, but was recommended to us so we gave it a try - and were not disappointed. Lovely entre - the aubergine with cheese, and the homemade pasta dish for the main. Both can be recommended - especially the entre.

Great place with spectacularly good food. Hard to find a better value for money downtown Rome. During our 3 day trip in Rome, we had lunch here twice. The negative reviews of this place in Tripadvisor all come down to lack of understanding for Italian food and/or Culture.

This was a great find! We had a large party of 18 people and they were extremely accommodating! Food was fantastic...good prices. They were able to divide the checks per couples, which you don't easily find. Great grilled octopus and other local seafoods.

Thank Gina P
