Service was professional and courteous. Food was very good! I would highly recommend dinning at Antico Arco.

We visited expecting a lot, we are vegetarian so while the menu is limited we were offered some options that were ok but nothing special. The atmosphere though is good The service is slow and you are left wondering if anyone will come and attend to you.... 15 minutes before you are acknowledged after sitting down!!

You need to book at least few days in advance (as they are fully reserved usually). The location is great (with a lot of greenery nearby the antique Arch) and it invites for a nice walk before or/and after eating. As long as you understand that this is a place of haute-cuisine, the prices are not an issue. The combinations... More

I was invited to this very nice and elegant Restaurant. It turned out as a place with very fine dinning.. Very interesting combinations with wonderful flavours. The quality of food was wonderful, the service perfect and very friendly. Great selection of wines! I am sure I will be back..

Decided to visit after reading several good reviews across a variety of sites and we were not disappointed. Emailed on our arrival in Rome for a table at 8pm and we quickly received a reply acknowledging our reservation. We arrived just in time, as the restaurant soon became busy afterwards. The wine list is very extensive, although it does not... More

Decor is modern. Attentive, friendly and professional staff. Food is tasty with intricate flavours. Palate, totally satisfied. We had the tasting menu and added the risotto as I really wanted to try it. Not cheap but worth it in my opinion. So far the best experience in Rome. Dishes are nicely crafted as you can see from other pics on... More

I planned a business dinner for three, based on a strong recommendation from a friend in the business. We might have received the special treatment but the warm hospitality of the staff was evident to all guests. I did not order, we had something like a sample menu with about a dozen of small dishes, ranging from traditional to innovative,... More

I had researched restaurants and Antico Arco was listed several places. I called the same evening on a Tuesday night and made a booking for 9pm. The staff was friendly and welcoming and explained dishes and making suggestions. The carbonara with truffles was excellent. Not your standard Roman fare that you have at the many restaurants in Rome, more upscale... More

We dined here recently when celebrating a special occasion, and had an excellent meal, pausing on the way to the restaurant to enjoy the views over Rome at the Cannone del Gianicolo. All elements of the meal were excellent - bread, amuse bouche and our selected items. The wine list was excellent, particularly in the long list of Brunelli di... More

Many of the best restaurants in Rome are actually located in Trastevere. It took me a long time to decide where to eat there. I finally decided to book a table at Antico Arco as it's only a short walk from Passeggiata del Gianicolo (a lovely place that that we could get a pretty great view of Rome). We had... More

Staying in Monteverde

Neighborhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
