A refreshingly different Rome restaurant . Great service and an interesting and high quality menu with good choice and range of dishes. Excellent wine and knowledgeable recommendations. Thanks for a memorable evening.

We came to try the restaurant especially because of the good reviews it's had. The service was good, the staff was friendly and most of the dishes tasted great and were inventive. But anything that had the fish in it was too 'fishy' for some reason. Not sure if we went on a day when the fish supply just wasn't... More

We had a recommendation for this place from a friend who had previously been, which was excellent as it is not somewhere you are likely to come across (in my opinion). The service was excellent, the interior was impressive and the food was breathtaking. Whilst that may seem a little dramatic, over half of our table (of 7), claimed it... More

This is top notch food but don't expect to get a lot of it. The restaurant is old with twists and turns and little rooms. The staff are good and the food is excellent, just don't expect a massive steak or pie and mash.

Recommended by my Italian exchange of 32 years ago when we recently got back in touch and I came over to visit her. It is a family favourite of theirs and I can see why. We started witha galss of Franciacorta - delicious. Then I bought a Pecorino (a bit of a current favourite in the UK) and then I... More

Everybody recommends but nothing special: no atmosphere, no taste , no smile, service is a burden to the waiter. Look for another place to have a memory from Rome.

We had an amazing lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Each dish was interesting, innovative and delicious. My husband had the extensive tasting menu where each dish was just the right size so that the whole meal wasn't too much. I ate al a carte and each dish was a delight. Helpful and friendly staff. OK, it's not cheap but... More

Upon the recommendation of the concierge of our hotel we went to Antico for dinner. A true gourmet dinner. Our appetizer, dinner and desert were spectacular. A can't miss opportunity when in Rome. The service and wine selection was second to none.

Staying in Monteverde

Neighborhood Profile
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
