The service was great! The food and wine were amazing as well. Definitely recommend! I had the pizza and they changed the toppings for me to customize. I also had the cheesecake and tiramisu. Loved how much espresso flavor you got from the tiramisu.
This place came highly recommended from a number of people so walked the city to go it on my last night in Rome.
I was really disappointed by the experience - the worst I’ve had in Rome.
- On arrival, they said they didn’t have...any tables and would need to wait half an hour. I stuck around which I don’t think they expected and I got a table within 5 minutes.
- The waiter chucked the menu at me while continuing to walk past my table. Still not a clue what his name was and was made to feel really unwelcome - barely made eye contact with me. Most staff I had any contact with made me feel like they had utter contempt for my existence.
- Very slow service - asked for a dessert menu as had seen great reviews. There was an older gentleman who seemed to be managing things and he realised I’d sat with the menu a long time and he seemed to have gone away to get the waiter.
- Food was really disappointing - it was ‘fine’ but nothing to really rave about. Ordered a ‘special’ pizza and the cannoli. Both very average - had better pizza from random places I’d stopped at while doing touristy things.More
Very nice food! The pasta al amatriciana was the best one I've ever had! The carbonara was excellent as well! The restaurant is a bit more expensive and chic, but worth a visit. The terrace isn't very crowded, so you can enjoy a relaxing meal!...If you want to be sure of a table, make a reservation.More
Probably one of the best meals I have ever had!! And I have had many☺️A bit pricy but worth every single penny. The wine and prosecco was great, the burrata was amazing and the pizza formaggii and pasta carbonara must have been made in heaven!!!...The pancetta melts on the tongue and the desserts...oh my God!!! Do yourself a favor and visit this place on earth - you will not regret it!!!More
I heard so much about Emma, so we went at the first chance we had. It was a quick lunch but we were happy with the pizza we discovered.
We started with Zucchini flowers filled with Mozzarella which was very good.
For pizza, we had...Matrix - guanciale and Pecorino Romano Lopez on tomato sauce. Some pieces of guanciale were crispy, adding a fun texture to every bite.
We highly recommend Emma in Rome.More
We went here on the recommendation of friends and were glad we did, we could tell straight away that we weren't the first people to have been recommended this restaurant. The outdoor seating was wedged when we got there but the lovely hostess took our...number and told us come back in 20 minutes which we gladly did. The menu is extensive with lots of fresh ingredients and combinations. We shared a parma ham and mozzarella plate to start which was some of the freshest meat and cheese I've ever tasted. We followed this with two pizzas that did not disappoint. Beautiful crust with fresh toppings, normally I wouldn't be able to finish a pizza but this was no issue for the incredibly light and airy pizza at Emma. Finished with a bottle of wine, coffees and a dessert we found this resteraunt to be incredibly good value.More
We stayed close by Emma and enjoyed it each time. The people are very nice and the menu is creative. It's always busy so make a reservation (same day worked for us, but don't expect to walk in). Our faves were the zucchini flowers w/...mozzerella, the Pomodorini e Rughetta (white pizza w/ rucola & excellent tomatoes), and the Cacio e Pepe. We're not huge fans of roman-style pizza as we are napoli types so can't speak to their pies but eveerything else was tasty!More
We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and as it had quiet good reviews, we decided to give it a chance.
Pizza was good and the probably use high quality products but…
- 8€ for a bottle of beer?
- had to use the same knife...from starter for the main (!)
- service was slow and not really friendly
Give it a try if you are looking for a good margarita and you are ok with low service level. 🤷♀️ I will vote with my feet and won’t return.More
Keep in mind that i am writing this while still being here.I just finished my tagliata and i just loved it.The meat was amazingly cooked and the antipasta was perfect ( fresh salmon, amazing mozarella with anchoives). I just highly recommed this place if you...want to taste Italy. ❤️More
Visited this place on Saturday evening since we really wanted to have some food and this was on our list after seeing the reviews. They have ample seating indoors and outdoors and we ordered the Magherita Pizza. The crust was exceptionally thin and nice. Somehow...the flavour of the pizza just didn't cut it for us compared to the others we ate in Rome.
Go here if you want a place a sit and some thin crust pizzas. I think it would depend on the other options if one likes them or not. For us sadly it was a miss.More
