I’m so glad I found this place. We went around 10pm on a Saturday evening and were lucky enough to get a table. We ordered a medium board which was HUGE! A combination of meats, cheeses, breads with olive tapenade, sundried tomato pesto and fresh...fruit and veggies. It was a bargain price of €24! I will 100% be back!More
Tiny fabulous gem of a bar with a excellent bar man Lorenzo whose wine knowledge was great. We had two very different delicious bottles of Prosecco.
Ideally located between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, this is one of the few non-touristy places in the neighborhood. The first time we stopped only for a few glasses of wine from their encyclopedic list and then went back for dinner a second...evening for what was the culinary highlights of our trip -- a porchetta sandwich with roasted tomatoes. The sandwich was so huge that we split it and, unable to get the amazing flavor and texture of the porchetta out of our mouth, were finally able to track some down in a tradition Italian meat market on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. We're saving it for a trip down memory lane and the amazing evenings spent at Cantina dei Papi. There are only a handful of tables, so be sure to get there early!More
Stopped in here to get some lunch. The girls behind the counter were really friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The food was very good, I would highly recommend
This tinny little gem hidden in Rome, is the perfect spot for a lovely and quick meal (you can of course make it longer, but for us it was a quick stop while walking around). Their food and their wine are fantastic and if busy,...trust me, it is worth the wait!More
An amazing find, we went twice. At night we had a medium board for 2 and it was large ( we ate it all! ) and tasted great - lovely hams/salami and cheeses. A few glasses of house Merlot and we were very happy indeed....After the Sistine Chapel we came back for a Roast pork sandwich which was fantastic. 1 between 2 would be enough. The staff were great and a great place to say hello to the other customers. BrilliantMore
When my wife told me she wanted to go get dinner at a charcuterie board place, I was skeptical. But let me tell you just how wrong I was. Lorenzo was the best waiter in the world that genuinely cared about making us enjoy every...aspect of our dinner. The food itself tasted as incredible as it looked. I literally cannot say anything bad about this place. 10/10.More
My husband and I agree that this was the best sandwich we have ever had. I will truly be dreaming about this delicious sandwich when I am back in the states and at work. We had just finished a long tour of The Roman Forum...and The Colosseum and we're absolutely famished. This restaurant is off a side street and could easily be overlooked so make sure to add this to your itinerary. We both had a veggie sandwich. The bread was soft and airy. We added fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes soaked in olive oil and basil, sautéed onions, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, arugula and the best part was the zucchini which truly tasted like a pickle. The flavors of the vegetables were so rich that no extra condiments were needed. In the states, you often see people adding Mayo or mustard, but this sandwich had so much flavor that no condiments were needed. The lady who made our sandwich was nice and very hospitable. There are several tables available inside to sit at while you eat. I enjoyed sitting inside and looking around at the old pictures on the walls. I cannot recommend this place enough!! Truly the best sandwich I've ever had!More
We sat across from here a couple of nights ago having dinner and watched people coming and going so we decided to return to check it out. We had not done any research of where to eat but it looked like our style. We turned...up early and sat outside, my husband went inside to order and get wine. We were them advised our table wouldn’t be big enough for the platter and we should head inside. Fantastic platter, beautiful presentation and selection of meat, cheese, fruit and vegetables. We devoured it with bread, balsamic and olive oil. Bellissimo 🇮🇹🩷 Service was excellent. Great value too. So glad we came back to experience it.More
When I arrived the waiter was very rude and said you have to go in the line. However the line isn’t obvious it is across the road and down an alley, not near the restaurant itself. I queued for 5 mins and the line didn’t...move so I left. Eat at the Cantina dei Papi instead!More
Coming to Rome and not visiting this wonderful place is a mortal sin. An exceptional selection of prosciutto, cheese and wine leaves no one indifferent. The service is exceptional, friendly, dear, and at the same time professional. We will definitely come again next time we...visit Rome.More
Beautifully hand crafted charcuterie board with cheeses, meats, fruits and grilled vegetables. We each got a glass of red wine to go with it. Good place to stop!
Came by for lunch on the way from Colosseum to Trevi Fountain. Nice and quiet, we were one of few people dining. We tried charcuterie boards - medium and small sizes. They come with a variety of meat, cheese, fruit and toasts with spreads. They...had a good variety of tasty things and pretty to look at too. I had a glass of white wine. We also took a couple of sandwiches to go, including a porchetta and pork jowel (great porchetta, jowel was a bit much for a whole sandwich). They have multiple locations throughout Rome, so it is easy to find one nearby. Food is all very affordable.More
Excellent platters, great service, comfortable atmosphere. A bit off the beaten track, but well worth the visit. Not the biggest, or plushest, but great hidden gem.
