Stumbled across this lovely restaurant.
We had great wine, selected by our very attentive waiter. What impressed me was he asked what our price range was rather than simply going for the most expensive in the list, very respectful.
Food was faultless! Our dessert was the pinnacle- prepared at the table a gin champagne mango sorbet. Devine!
After a thee courses and a bottle of wine it was only 70 euros ahead!
Without a doubt the best meal we have had in Rome!

Lovely restaurant. I came here with my other half on our final night in Rome. I had a pizza which was the best of 8 I had during my trip. The wine was lovely and the service was great. The staff are really friendly and speak good English. There was also a real Italian feel about this venue.

We were looking for good italian cuisine. Great service and good ambiance. Excellent food and wine. Would recommend!

Waiter handed the menus to my wife only and upside down on the table. We ordered our meals and I asked for a wine that would pair well with it, got slammed something in the glass without being told what it is nor giving me the chance to taste it. It was boiling warm too and when I remarked about it the bottle was being put in a fridge while the food was getting cold on the table. Then the wine which had not chilled at all was poured onto the old in the glass. Waiter also tipped a water bottle at the table wasn’t too sorry about it and in the background the assumed to be owner watched with a sceptic face what difficult customers they had.
I mean just say if you don’t wish foreigners in your restaurant, otherwise at least try. But if this was the true standard of serving, when the interior, menu and wine list suggested a standard of a totally other level, then they have a light year to go. Two points only because the food was ok, like the like you would cook at home on a weekday

DON'T GO...
they don't care if you are not italian. Worst restaurant in Rome.
we asked if we can order a carponara with out meat, the waiter asked and told yes with mushrooms.
So we order 2, one normal and one with mashrums.
carponara was 12 euro.
we asked for the check and we saw they charged us 22 euro for the dish with mushrooms.
we asked them why, we ordered 2 carponara and they told us, no is not carponara is different dish with mushrooms.
when the waiter brought us the bill, a lady on the back, probably the manager was laughing and looking at us... they knew what they were doing when they overcharged us....
1st The pasta was not altende, it was raw, literally raw...
2. no english menu
3. they want to steal your money, they don't care to serve you

The pasta was the best we had in Rome (in my opinion). I had the pasta with mushrooms and sausage - the fettucine tasted homemade and was cooked just right. The flavors perfect. A classy place and popular, with tables of locals filling the front room. Warm, wood-paneled interior with a tempting salumeria - but we just can't eat that much. Still this place was the real deal.

Visited this beautiful restaurant after a recommendation from our hotel receptionist. Unassuming from the outside, this little place is lovely inside and feels very homely.
The service was excellent and we felt very welcome even though I believe we were the only foreigners there. It was full of locals which was a good sign.
The food was exquisite. Definitely the best of our trip. We shared a cheese and meat board for our starter which was incredible, a good selection of both. We both had the Carbonara with Truffle and let me tell you it left us speechless!!! It was the best carbonara I have ever had, it was absolutely gorgeous. I wish it could of lasted forever!!
We finished the meal off with a limoncello as we were far too full for dessert.
Although the most expensive meal of our trip it was well worth it and I would definitely return and recommend to any visitors to Rome.

Unassuming from the outside it is lovely inside with great glassware on the tables. Food was amazing with large portions. Incredibly fresh. They coped well with my allergies. Wine list is spectacular and very reasonably priced.

We went to eat in this restaurant in the hope it would be good but we had no idea either way. The restaurant was clean and beautifully presented and had proper tablecloths and napkins. The waiter was very good and the food was excellent and pretty good value for money also we would highly recommend this restaurant. We saw they were having a special evening and asked if there were any tables but the restaurant was fully booked which to be honest we weren’t surprised because it was excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again in the future. We hope you enjoy it like we did.

I was in Rome for the film festival and we were lucky enough to be invited to a drinks reception at the British Ambassadors residence. We were ravenous by the time we left so went to the first restaurant we came to. It was a rather unusual location, there didn’t seem to be any shops or other eateries nearby so we would have not otherwise found it. From the outside it looked fairly ordinary, traditional inside and nice enough certainly, but nothing special so we weren’t expecting the AMAZING food which we were served! The service was prompt and polite and considering we were well away from any tourist areas there was no overt ‘pushing’ of extras.
We had the traditional 4 courses including pasta course and meat course and every dish was quite simply exceptional. So good we could hardly speak! My partner is a serious foodie and eats in some of the most fashionable restaurants in the world and even he was totally blown away.
Not sure what else to say except that if you are in Rome, here (and degustation menu at The Pagoda at the Cavalieri Hotel) are amongst the best meals I have ever had.

We had different dishes recommended by our local friend or the nice waiter.
All were top delicious
We had a Friulu wine ( the most expensive from the card) and it was superb

We ordered a bottle of wine, the cold cut meat tray, a pasta dish (pepper and pecorino) and a margherita pizza. They instead of the meat tray brought foccacia. While good, the foccacia was not nearly as good as the meat tray had looked. The pasta and pizza were good, though everything was fairly high-priced for the quality. Service was not exceptional.

We were staying in this part of Rome and walked passed this place everyday. One day we decided to pop and man were we glad we did. The food was A Star along with the staff. If your in Rome and want an authentic Italian restaurant that serves great food this place is a hidden gem. We had a selection of meats and cheese to start two main courses of pasta (superb) and tiramisu to finish washes off with two bottles of mineral water and a bottle of fine Italian red wine. Wait for it €75!!!!! Don’t bother with the expensive tourist places go to this place the pasta was just amazing. I can’t remember the name of mine but the wife had Carbonara. Best she’s had

I went to Pinsa e Buoi with a couple of friends and we found it extraordinary!! Service is fast, waiters are kind and nice and the food is the best I ever tried before. Everything is based on a peculiar research to bring high quality products on the table. I strongly recommend it!!
