I ordered the vongole and my friend ordered the bruschetta taste platter, both of which were a disappointing start to our roman holiday. it was cold, looked unappetizing, tasted like amateur italian food and took a really long time to be prepared too. It was also pretty expensive, and in hindsight was completely not worth it. It is situated right... More

Firstly they entice you in, menu looks ok; then they ignore you. When you do finally get some food it's tasteless , or rather tastes as if it has been frozen. It's also expensive. The food seems to come from somewhere else in the square. Outside is a view of the market water sump. A totally unpleasant experience . Don't... More

We ate lunch here on our final day in Rome, and after some of the food we did experience, Sloppy Sam's did not measure up. The Hosts outside on the street in Campo De Fiori are very pushy and give you "Special" prices if you sit and eat… I believe we were offered free beers if we had lunch here,... More

Ended up sat here as it was the first place we saw from breakfast as we entered the square. It was busy so we sat down but as we did they started dismantling the awnings and pouring water on a table of women. I stayed dry so decided to order waffles. No ide why as i dont normally like them.... More

This place is right in the Campo de Fiori area and markets itself as an American Italian restaurant. The service was very slow. The pizza is just ok. Their idea of minestrone is a soup with a boat load of veggies, no beans. Look for a more authentic place not trying so hard to get you to eat there.

If you like your starters to arrive late and separately, you like overpowering parmesan and salty pasta, you like waiting a long time for your food, and enjoy the staff climbing ladders around you changing the restaurants signage right above your head than eat here. A very disappointing meal. There are plenty of other nice places to eat on the... More

We ate here Sunday lunchtime - we had a pizza and a tuna and olive salad. Great place to people watch - very busy as the local market was taking place. We loved the food and the service was great too. Good value for money in the centre of Rome.

Our experience was anything but enjoyable. We were waited on by a "server," yet saw her maybe twice the whole time of our visit. Our dinner took two and a half hours because it took 30 minutes to get a drink order in, another 30 to get a food order, and another hour and a half to receive our food.... More
