Location and contact

La Romana gelato shop was born in the heart of the historic centre of Rimini in 1947, receiving the name of the founder's daughter. A few years later Vito Zucchi, progenitor of the family, took over the enterprise. Thanks to his fervent creativity and the use of a few ingredients then available, he created a wide range of high-quality flavours which are still made in our stores today.

Wanted a little afternoon snack so we took a short walk to this place! It was a very nice shop with large doors and a bustling environment. We tried to look for the typical gelato (behind a glass panel so you are able to see...More

We popped in here after dinner totally unexpectedly based on the huge queue of Italians... they knew what they were doing as the ice cream was delicious. I had Panna Cotta with Biscotti di Nonna topped with chantilly cream, all on a liquid chocolate filled...More

Yes, Rome has hundreds of delicious ice cream shops that stay opened even during the winter (I know, I lived there...) But this one is absolutely the best: They do not have crazy blue fluorescent ice creams, or anything weird, but they have quality, and...More

Reassuringly always busy. Nice extra touches such as chocolate in the cone, cream on top and you can watch it all being made! And they have quite a few tables inside the Gelateria so you can enjoy it before the sun melts it.
