I heard so much about the Pizza, so had expectations. The pizza was indeed very good, but the sweet pastries were disappointing. The chocolate filling of the Veneziana tasted like a cheap store bought one.

It was nice but we had to queue for about 45 minutes. The ingredients tasted super fresh and it was the best arancini we had it Rome
Awful, awful, awful! Having seen the Netflix show on this pizza shop, I naïvely decided to visit without coming on Tripadvisor first. It was an absolute waste of time. The shop is in a rough area with a load of dirty, stinking bins outside right...by where you have to queue up. The shop closes in the middle of the afternoon and reopens at 5 pm by which time there is already a large queue, however the queue is so bad that there is now a ticketing system. Despite there being dozens of people waiting there are only two people serving, and there are no descriptions of what is on the pizza and none of the staff speak English very well and in general they have a terrible attitude. The food is not good at all and the pasta and rice balls were so terribly overcooked to the point that they were inedible, and the pizza toppings have a pile of onions underneath them which makes them completely unpalatable. If you have seen the show you’ll imagine that this place is worth visiting however you could not be more wrong. It is atrocious, the staff are not friendly the queue is ridiculous and the food is awful. There are hundreds of nice places to eat in Rome, go and choose somewhere else. To make things worse, the scales are covered in food and it is just unhygienic, this is because every customers pizza is placed on the same scales in order to choose the price, and then the pizza is reheated for you, which causes a 2 to 5 minute delay, they don’t put any paper on the scales, so there is all kinds of toppings on top of the scales as shown in my photo, which means you could be getting food that you’re allergic to, or is against your religion or other dietary type requirements. Gross.More
The pizza at Panificio Bonci is delicious but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. The pricing is based on weight and can be very deceiving. Four small slices of pizza cost me 18 euro --this is RIDICULOUS. I've lived in Rome for 5 years and never paid this...much, even at many of the best gourmet pizza restaurants like Seu Pizza Illuminati and Pizzeria 180grammi... BONCI -- Please do assess your pricing and make your pizza more affordable so we can all enjoy it without feeling cheated!More
This Bonci location is a little different than the other, because it is counter service. There are usually lines out the door, but we received our order quickly. We had panini and pizza, and the varieties of pizza are plentiful. This pizza is more like...what you would find in the US rather than the thinner crust you would find in Rome, and the toppings are very nontraditional. Ours was very good.More
We’ve been told that porchetta (deboned, slow-roasted pig) is one of Rome’s “must-try” foods, so we went hunting for a good specimen. A 15-minute bus ride later, we found ourselves at a bakery somewhere near the Vatican, chomping on moist and well-seasoned slices of pork...sandwiched between crispy pieces of pizza bianca. Add some antipasti, dinner taken care of!More
It was very tasty…I would recommend to everyone who is on vacation in rome to go and to taste it! Lot of unexpected varieties of “pizza”. Grazie mille.
Some of the best cornetti in Rome, brought to you by the same genius that is behind Pizzarium! It's very close to the Vatican, so we went before the papal audience.
Went here twice for lunch! Very reasonably priced for incredible sandwiches. The place lives up to the hype!
With Gabriele Bonci now making his name known stateside a decision to visit the Bakery at Via Trionfale 36 came easily, and although Pizzarium rightfully gets a lot of press Panificio Bonci flies happily under the radar today just as it has since opening in...November 2012. A part of Rome’s Trionfale district, easy walking distance from Vatican City but far enough away to not be inundated by tourists, it is even before entering that the smell of yeast is noted, early arrival still finding employees stocking shelves with an assortment of sweet and savory selections. Offering everything from Suppli to Roast Chicken, in addition to Bonci’s celebrated Pizette, it is only after thorough perusal that decisions should be made, several Cakes weighed to price tempting but probably best saved for parties of four or more. Open from 08h30 every day but Sunday, with a menu that shifts from morning to night, Breakfast should undoubtedly include one of Panificio Bonci’s all-natural Cornetti, in this particular case the version with Honey and Oats infusing an airy base of heritage Flour. Always ingredient focused, Pizette come as small rounds with a chew like Focaccia and Bonci’s signature Potato topping should not be missed, though neither should the weighty and moist “Cheesecake” that one-ups New York-style by using Ricotta that is lightly browned atop a Jam-like layer of Cherries.More
We have been to Bonci's Pizzarium multiple times and absolutely love it, but for Christmas this year, we made the trip out to Panificio specifically for a Panettone and to try some of the delicious offerings Bonci often posts on instagram like Fried Chicken or...Fried Fish. Unfortunately they weren't serving the chicken and fish the day we arrived but we indulged in some pizza and bought plenty of Christmas goodies. The Panettone was better than it looks and I highly recommend grabbing one if you're in town around the holidays. We opted for the original orange and raisin but the others sounds amazing! The service was great and loved the experience.More
Tbh, we found the pizza to be good-average, yet not exceptional. The chicken was tasty, too. And the seating area out- and then inside again was funny. Why do all cutlery and water cups in Italy (a country with a history of problems when it...comes to waste handling) have to be made of plastic?! At least here they separate trash.More
The place is known as the Michelangelo of pizza and it really is. I don't understand the review that said they were waiting for more food other than pizza- This is a pizza place. So don't go there expecting anything else. There was no where...to sit so you stand and eat the best pizza ever. It is baked 3 times to get the crust just right. There are many varieties and suggest trying them all to share. we also learned that you don't get good pizza anywhere in Rome before 6pm Lisa Reinicke/childrenauthorMore
This is the best pizza place in all of Rome. Airy light crust and amazing flavors. The roasted red peppers we're to die for.
It was ok. Not lots of choices. We were waiting more things to eat but it has only some pizzas by slice and bread. Another thing was that the bread costs 5 euros per kg...
