It's a cute little place, the staff is very accommodating, however, a group of guys were in there and they kept going outside to smoke and then coming back in and they just reeked. So, even though Italy doesn't allow for smoking inside it doesn't seem to have reduced the amount of people smoking. The smell of people walking back-and-forth... More

Where to start? Anot elegantly decorated restaurant combining brick ceiling with black and white an as photos and a friendly welcome, set the atmosphere perfectly. The food is....perfect. In particular the fried octopus starter which my wife considered "the best meal she has ever eaten". The salmon was also delicious. Our main courses were cooked perfectly and desert was great... Restaurant is beautiful. Wait staff was helpful because the menu needed quite a bit of explaining. We are American and don't speak Italian. Wine was good. Seemed more French inspired which is not my favorite type of food. We ordered two starters and two entrees and everything was just okay. Would not make it a must in Rome.

The restaurant is modern , with an interesting menu !. The food was nice and well presented . Its a little more pricey but there is creativity with the food so it's understandable , the deserts where slightly overpriced for what you get , but it was still tasty . But the rest of the portions where a decent size.... More

I would highly recommend this restaurant for everyone who is looking for a fine dinning experience. I could go on and on about how fantastic the food is. However be aware of the service. The staff is unwelcoming, snob and ignorant (unless perhaps if you have a platinum credit card!) i, my husband and our daughter were made feel uncomfortable,... More

After searching for recommendations we settled on Il Fellini as the reviews were good and it wasn't far from our hotel. Our initial impression was of a very cool restaurant but with a welcome that wasn't overtly "welcoming". There were four of us and we chose steak, duck, veal and risotto. The food was magnificent and the presentation excellent. Our... More

Went to dinner with a small group of work colleagues from different cultures. Food was great and something for everyone. Food was superbly prepared, Steak Tartare was sublime and the Veal Cheeks was superb. A very friendly ambience with lots of couples dinning there.

We were on a new year break and wanted a really nice restaurant for our last night. We came across this little gem whilst walking back to that Hotel Romantico - it's 200m away. We weren't disappointed. The service was very good and welcoming. A number of people arrived without bookings were accommodated in the busy restaurant without fuss. Our... More

We went for dinner at this restaurant as we know the area and probably tried all the restaurants around. We were pleasantly surprised. The food is great. We had octopus, pasta, steak and snapper and everything was perfect. We had a bottle of wine which was not fantastic though. Very pleasant staff and very nice atmosphere, highly recommended for sure

This is tough. The food was great, surprisingly tasty. The arrival was rough, we had reservations and showed up on time at 7:30. We were alone in the restaurant for at least a half hour. The lone waitress sort of watched over us like we were going to run out with the silverware. After we had some wine, other folks... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
