We were on our way to dinner when we realized that we would be early for our reservation. We decided to stop and have a drink and watch the world go by on the Via del Governo Vecchio. What a mistake this was. The older...gentleman who was waiting on us was rude and very irritating. We ordered two glasses of wine. My husband’s wine was fine. I ordered a Reisling, and it did not taste like a Reisling. When I tried to explain to the server that I could not drink it, he just scoffed at me. I asked him to take it back because it was not a Resiling, and he preferred to go and get the bottle to show me that I was wrong. I knew only one thing, it tasted like crap. He just left us alone. My husband went in to pay our bill and when he explained to the cashier that I could not drink the wine, they removed it from our bill. The entire experience left a really bad taste in my mouth.More

We spent some time drinking wine and eating good cold cuts and cheese in this tiny place in Rome. The location is very central and the products are fresh!

Enoteca in centro storico. Friendly people and a very knowledgeable sommelier. Down to earth, the real thing. Go.

We came here for a quick lunch. Service was too quick as we were served our food less than the time it takes to boil pasta....this already made me suspect. We ordered a plate of penne all’arrabbiata which appeared to be reheated ( I have...lived here 18 years and can figure out if I’m eating freshly cooked pasta or not). My sister ordered polpette and the were bland and served on a bed of wilted lettuce. Good points are that the location is excellent.More

This wine bar is lovely, very small with a couple of tables but doesnt feel crowded. We sat here for a wine before dinner, nice glass of wine on recommendation by the barman! Would definitely come back!

First time we visited was amazing - wine, staff, music and atmosphere awesome. We were looking forward revisiting but then had the most appalling service of our trip so far. Waitresses couldn’t care less, empty glasses at all tables and openly hostile looks. They were...helping themselves to wine and snacks but didn’t care to offer customers any service. Would not go back a third time.More

For as sweet as the place looks, the quality was not as good as expected. The wine we chose was good but the snacks were average at best. There are better places nearby but this one is cute to look at.

We found this bar by chance whilst looking for somewhere (not too expensive) to have a drink near Piazza Navona. It appeared to have quite a selection of wines but we enjoyed a beer and soft drinks whilst sat at a table outside (although it...does have quite a small frontage). There is also a food menu but we did not eat during our visit. The lady who worked there was very pleasant and helpful, appearing to be cheerful with all her guests. It is in a reasonably quiet street with just the occasional car passing by, trying to manoeuvre around the pedestrians. If I was in Rome again I would come back here.More

We had to wait a while for a table to seat our family (6). Thinking it was crowded because of the delicious food....but that wasn't the case. It is a good stop to have a drink or two, but that is all. Out of 6...meals, there was only 1 that was "good". The rest couldn't even finish their meals. I'd like to say maybe the chef had a bad day....but we were very disappointed.More

We visited here for lunch and it's a small cozy and genuine shop/restaurant. There's really interesting wines that are cheap but with really high quality. The service was excellent and relaxed just like the atmosphere. The food arrived fast and we enjoyed it very much,...the carbonara and ravioli was amazing. We got a good explanation about the wines and the methods used to make it. If you are looking for a nice glass of wine or a small snack/lunch then i recommend this place strongly!More

It is said, at least in America, that big things come in small packages. Enoteca Il Piccolo in Rome, in the winter, is such a place. With a minimum amount of tables able to be dined at inside, if you are able to grab a...place, then, by all means, do it. My nephew and I enjoy finding these smaller, fine food establishments and this one did not disappoint. This was to be our last lunch in Roma so we joyfully consumed the very tasty mozzarella and ham and the Bruschetta appetizers and then I had my way with an incredible lasagna, where Il Piccolo did not skimp on the meat (as is done is some restaurants). Great meaty and cheesy flavor with a int of spinach and some other subtle spices. Pure heaven. My nephew had ravioli which must have been great as he did not speak after receiving his plate. Highly recommended — to one and allMore
