Very good and decent prices. Lots of interesting flavors. Cash only! In a nice spot of town where there are places to sit.

The best ice cream we had in Rome. I had the tiramisu and lemon, my boyfriend had the strawberry and banana and they were all amazing. Go!

Lovely hidden gem. In a city where much of the food is made with milk, Fatamorgana offers a wide variety of dairy free flavours including chocolate and almond milk. The avocado and lime flavour is a dream!

We walked a reasonable way to visit this Gelateria after reading the excellent reviews and were disappointed to find it not only closed but taped off. Other potential customers arrived too. Two ladies who were sitting inside the taped off area smoking told one of...More

As a Roman Archaeologist I spend a lot of time in Rome. I can assure you that this place, contrary to so many other gelato places in Rome, is the real deal and is not a tourist trap and was first introduced to me by...More

We ate here right after having dinner across the street because my kids have become obsessed with gelato on our vacation in Italy. It was very good gelato and quite affordable.

Needed gelato after the Colosseum and this was worth the walk. The Seadas with pecorino, chestnut and orange peel was good. The pear belle Helene was excellent as was the baklava. My daughter's went back for seconds of the nocciola and Venezuelan chocolate flavours.

Since our arrival in Italy, I have been obsessed with gelatos. After trying several places, we realized that not all gelatos were created equal. Fatamorgana in the Monti area offers very tasty gelatos at reasonable price. The selection is abundant, almost overwhelming, as they all...More

Fresh, unique flavors. Tons of Gluten Free options. The man working there was very nice and unlike some other gelato places he let us sample flavors. Highly recommend.

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at

In 2003 Maria Agnese Spagnuolo opened her individual gelato shop. Since then she rose from the ranks by creating unique flavours. The Passion of Maria Agnese for the freezing world transformed her shop intoa fine atelier of the frozen dessert, where hand-made gelato becomes anextraordinary experience!
