I was in this restaurant with my husband and my 15 months old. When I was picking up food for my baby with a tray and paying at cashier desk, I kept the purse on the cash desk and unfortunately forgot to pick up with a big tray in my hand for my baby. When I could realize, I rushed... More

Cheerful and buzzy restaurant, conveniently located on the upper floor of Termini Station. On the day my husband and I arrived in Rome, we headed there, wondering whether we would find the same old Ciao, with their selection of pasta and meat dishes. We were delighted to find that they still cook the pasta on the spot and that dishes... More

Don't expect great food or service. It is a cafeteria with average food and average prices. Lots of seating. Choices are limited but it is fast as everything is ready to go. No free bathrooms which is disappointing.

We decided to eat here well we were waiting for our train, it was either here or McDonald's. The food is cafeteria style but the servings are large and the selection is adequate. I'd advise a salad or pasta simply because it had to be better than the chicken cutlet that I had. It is very busy and loud as... More

We arrived in Rome at lunch time, after a very early morning start and flight delays. Find Ciao was a god send. The restaurant is busy, which for me is a great sign, the choices were good and the staff on the whole were very good. We had the risotto and pasta combo, salad nicoise and wine for under 20€.... Definitely the worst food in Italy and the most awful customer service. I had a meal voucher from air india. The lady asked me what I want, I informed her about the voucher. As soon as she saw the voucher (and realised I am not gonna pay) she changed her tone. I asked for salad, pasta and water. She refused... More

Looking for a quick meal. Its OK. Without tast. Rushing the food for all the customers. They don't speak English and charge me extra (I think they saw me as the next toerist)... I hate that if they do so... I can't recommend this bar

My wife and I were quite hungry by the time we got through security and this was the best looking option. It's actually a group of different options and venues. I got the pasta, which was a very generous helping and not as good as a mamma-run restaurant but adequate and a salad which was undressed; I caught on a... More

Pasta was not really good, not really cheap and very small. Salad was good, but small and no dressing. If you have no time to go to a better place to eat, its ok

Waiting for my train to Milan came to have lunch, excited about the delicious roman pasta I've heard and tried this past days in Rome... I guess I just picked the worst place ever, this was a very sad pasta anyone without cooking experience could've made, I would've felt better if I had given those ten euros to the homeless.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
