5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had a 3-day stay in Rome and quickly checked Foursquare on our first night. Osteria da Fortunata didn't have the greatest rating but was mentioned many times for the outstanding pasta and gnocchi. We booked, went, got our table and ordered various pasta dishes for the 4 of us. They totally lived up to the expectations and all 4... More

We visited Osteria Da Fortunata after a major disappointment from many "tourist traps" in the historic center, as a suggestion of foursquare; this place was ranked No.1 for gnocchi in Rome. We were absolutely thrilled!! Fresh homemade pasta, delicious plates and big portions!! It was extraordinary!! Although it was a little bit expensive and at some point we felt like... More

We enjoyed a very good lunch in this place. Not crowded, as other reviews mention, but I guess it helped that we showed up at ~3PM, a little bit off the usual lunch time. The seasoned waiter was very knowledgeable, and recommended some very good pasta with zucchini flowers and ham, and also some melanzane a la parmigiana. The local... More

Yes, definitely a place to go back to! I am from Rome and always uncertain on where to go to eat, it's hard to avoid tourist traps. But this place, even if very close to Campo de' Fiori, is actually really really good and authentic! The woman (Fortunata?) making pasta is absolutely nice, and the pasta is *really* good...try the... More

I came here for lunch with my boyfriend after a local Italian lady gave us the address. The place was empty but we sat down and chatted to the Italian mamas preparing and rolling the fresh pasta for our lunch, which they did at the window overlooking the street. A great way to get attention from the passers by, and... More

Service was even slower than we were used to in Italy. House wine was good. Food was average. Not all major ingredients were listed on menu so mention allergies/restrictions.

We were recommended this resturant and must say the pasta was great. We got to sit near the lady rolling the fresh pasta which the kids loved to watch. This at least kept the kids entertained for a bit as they had to wait over a hour for their food!! I had to chase up their food 5 times and... More

We had no booking but we were accommodated straight away( be aware that the place get busy by 8.30pm ).all pasta is done right in... More

We first went there on a tip from our Airbnb apartment owners and the food was amazing as well as the service and we found ourselves there five nights. Christian, Mimo, Paolo, and Frabriezo were excellent waiters and company and we looked forward to seeing them. There is no one in front of the restaurant bothering people to come in,... More
