I've been there with one of my friends. We've been advised about this nice restaurant by one friend of mine. The place is in a very central position, it is easy to find and the prices are worth the menu. We ate typical Italian dishes, Mimmo the waiter was as genuine as only Italian Roman people can be. Everything was... More

Such good food, service, and atmosphere. amazing food.Have been twice and will go back. Had prosciutto, a couple of types of pasta, great wine, but the best was the caprese.

Situated in Via Pelegrino, near Campo de' Fiori, in the heart of centro storico of Rome, homemade pastas, traditional cooking, roman cuisine is a triumph for the senses, vegetable recipes, rigatoni carbonara is extra, spaghetti with garlic, oil and chilli peper, delicious; you don't forget ..

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and fortunately made us reservations . We were sat outside right below the ladies making the fresh pasta. Ambiance could not have been better. BUT really it was all about the food. The Carbonara was the best I ever had. The mixed salad was the best one we had in Rome. Be sure to make... More

Love this restaurant! They serve the freshest of pasta which can often be seen being made in the front window of the restaurant. Patronized by locals, their menus are only in Italian and the staff speaks marginal English. But don't let this keep you away. The experience is great and the food even better! Can be very busy...waited 45 minutes... More

It is very popular and a bit touristy (it is in Campo de Fiori!) with an elderly lady making pasta right in the middle of the restaurant. But it is probably one of the better choices in the area. Pastas are good and very well made. I had the cacio e pepe which was delicious but I had better ones.... More

We ate there twice on our trip to Rome. We did much care for the fried appetizer but the pasta dishes, the veal, and especially the eggplant were very good. Leisurely paced dinner, house red was fine, and ww liked the chocolate mousse and the cheese cake with berries though more cream than cheese.

It's unusual to have the chance nowadays to see a lovely nice gramma making fresh pasta in front of you offering a deep dive into Italian (roman) old culinary traditions. Try the dishes proposed with carbonara, or coda all a vaccinara or castrato sauce. You ll never regret it. Then take time to walk around campo de Fiori breathing the... More

On one of our last nights in Rome, I had a specific 'want' for dinner - well made gnocchi, that wasn't in a heavy cheese sauce, or in a boring tomato/basil sauce. Osteria da Fortunata fit the bill, with four options for gnocchi that night. I can't remember what the other options were, but I had gnocchi with slow cooked... More

We enjoyed our food but on a Sunday the restaurant was super busy. You wait to be seated, wait for your order to be taken, wait for the food, remind them half way through your meal you are still waiting for your bottle of wine. Yes we enjoyed our food, but for the price $67 and the service we would... More
