This restaurant was one of the best dining experiences we had in Italy! The service, atmosphere and most importantly the food, was excellent. My husband had stuffed squid and it was delicious! I had the citrus risotto, it was also excellent. The tiramisu was creamy and flavourful and the wine they recommended was great! The staff was gracious and cared... More

Primi piatti Sweet red pepper with green pepper and a liquid cheese sauce, sauce had some salmon taste which was very nice. Secundi piatti Squid roasted with inside a puree in combination with rucola and some strawberries...the fruit for me gives the dish no extra dimension rather sweet pepper of white tartufo should match for me Very tastefull white wine,... Strozzapretti pasta was good but a little dry of sauce. Chicory was divine. Organic bio dynamic wines were delectable. They should pour you a bit more by the glass. The table next to me was getting much more wine in their glass. They also charge for focaccia and do not tell you. They ask if you want bread! Of course... More

Dear Madame, thank you for your review! We're happy that you enjoy your dinner at Sofia. I would like just to inform that our Chef, Tea Cianci, is an Italian girl (from Puglia) and the people you could see from your table, were the dishwasher and an assistant cook. Thank you very much and see you next time in Rome.... More

Food was very tasty and the wine also. However, keep in mind that they'll charge you for the water 3.50€ although they just ask you if you'd like still or sparkling when you sit down, so one would assume it is on the house. Not what i expected from a place recommended as a non-turistic restaurant. Altogether it's a nice,... More

Lovely small restaurant in a quiet street not far from the Trevi Fountain. Amazingly delicious fare with a unique touch and very professional service with a smile. Would we go back? Definitely! In fact, we cannot wait :-) Well done to all involved; you're doing a wonderful job.

My wife and I went to Sofia for dinner for one of the nights we stayed in Rome. The restaurant is pretty close to trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. My wife got the Parmesan egg plant, I ordered the fettuccini with shrimp, we shared a side of roasted red potatoes, and got a glass of wine. We sampled a... More

A lovely small restaurant in the Colonna area. A few outdoor tables available. The inside is tastefully decorated . The service was outstanding. A pleasant change from your typical arrogant Roman waiter. The two beautiful women running the show were perfectly wonderful service providers. Their command of the English language was welcome . Beautiful smiles led to a lovely vibe... More

Description
Sofia is our pet dog and mascot,…. a friendly and loving Jack Russell who accompanies us in our adventures. This is why we decided to give our most precious project her name!

An intimate, family-run restaurant with very few rules of thumb:

a menu which respects the seasons, using the finest of Italian produce, always fresh every day;
traditional Italian recipes together with other dishes specially created by our chef, and inspired by the flavours and colours of Mediterranean cuisine;
our desire that your lunch or dinner take place in intimate surroundings and make you “feel at home”.
