We were welcomed with delicious prosecco and waved goodbye with an orange-blossom dessert wine. Don't think you should come here for the free booze though because the food is delicious; service exceptional; and atmosphere cosy. Our waitress made great recommendations for both food and wine, and though the truffle accompaniment to the main dish was pushed a wee bit, the... More

From start to finish this was our best dinner in Rome by far. Great staff who knows and want to share their knowledge about both menu and wine. Visited the placed witnin truffle season and do not cheat yourself for this experience - they are not cheat with it :) We decided to order 6 different dishes to get around... More

Something about this place didn't feel great to me. The menu and food were fine but I felt like I was being rushed. The service was almost too good and too fast. The waitress was hovering over us (and pushing the truffles). It's like the restaurant was catering to Americans and Brits - and they thought we wanted to get... More

We`ve came for a late dinner without reservations. while waiting outside we were served a glass of sparkling wine- that was complimentary and very nice. after a short wait we were sitted. Now regarding the food, carchofi was good; pasta, lasagna and beef were oilly but ok. Portions were quite small. Recived mineral water although asked for regular tap water.... More

We came to Cantina Lucifero on recommendation from our hotel bartender who raved about the food. It was a nice little spot on a brick pathway in the heart of Rome. We didn't have a reservation so there was a little bit of a wait, but the staff tried their hardest to get us in quickly which we appreciated. My... More

Really enjoyed our 3 course meal at Cantina Lucifero. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco followed by an antipasto misto with a wide variety of cold meats & cheeses. For mains we both had Porcini mushroom fettuccine with a generous serve of fresh truffle. This would have to be one of the standout dishes out of all... More

I visited Cantina last month for my brother in laws 50th. I spent a long time looking for a restaurant which I thought would be perfect for his birthday and chose Cantina because of the amazing reviews. But the general feeling around the table was underwhelming. I had the veal meatballs which I enjoyed, the lady serving our table recommended... More

Like a lot of big cities the best restaurants tend to be one street back from the main road and Cantina Lucifero is no exception. The reception staff in our hotel recommended this wonderful restaurant and they even booked the table for us. Thankfully they did as on our 1st visit, a Friday night, it was full. Not surprising given... More

Suggested by Hotel Lunetta we dined here twice during a 10 night stay including our last night. While each meal was researched carefully, Cantina Lucifero won the contest for being the most fun. Small, relaxed, comfortable, friendly, with excellent food and service. We miss them very much. Our travels are always focused on excellent dining. We loved the house red... More
