A quick walk from our hotel was Da Riccardo! Incredible food awaits in a simple setting where there are more locals than tourists. The red table wine was absolutely delicious. The taste of the carbonara will be with me forever. The simple crostata for dessert was a great way to end a wonderful meal. I can't wait to go back!

Walked by and stopped in for lunch. Looked unassuming, but it was very good. The carbonara was especially good.

First of all, I'm from Rome! So please trust me if I say that this is one is one of the best place to eat the real Roman cuisine. This is a family restaurant and when I come back home it's the first place I wanna go to taste my favorite dish: Carbonara! The real one! All the dishes are... More

Home-made good food and dessert. Made the small trek out via Ardeatina for lunch here after recommendation. Well worth the trip. Family run restaurant where you are not hovered over. Food is great and setting is simple. Indoor and outdoor dining areas, we were indoors as it was March, but the outdoor area would be lovely on a summers day.... More

I visited this restaurant with my family (party of 7) in a very busy Friday. We all had traditional pasta (gricia and carbonara) and a second entree each: the spezzatino (veal) and baccalà (broiled cod with an onion-based soup) were well prepared and presented. House wine (from the Castelli Romani area) was considered "better than average to good" by the... More

One of the best carbonaras, and gricia (carbonara without egg). Vegetables are excellent: fresh and not overcooked. Family run, most customers local. Highly ercommended

Only opens for lunch. Most customers are Roman - all walks of life. The three Roman classics (pastas with bacon: gricia, carbonara & amatricana) are served here, as they would have been in 1930 when it opened, and they are all outstanding. Price is unbeleivable. Bring your earplugs - it is noisy.

if you can find it, it's the best place for homestyle traditional roman cuisine. Second best carbonara after the one my dad used to make
