My sister took me to this Gelateria (ice cream parlour) saying it had fantastic ice creams. I was keen to have a good ice cream and really looked forward. My sis got a 'cremolato' which was absolutely fantastic! i really wanted an ice cream. I was very disappointed. it did not have a lot of taste. I forgot what i... More

OMG if you only eat one ice cream in Rome it is here, the place is not big or flashy it is just to the right of the Pathenon and you may miss it if you are not careful, they do not have to tout for your custom on the street or have flashng lights saying here I am there... More

We stumbled onto Cremeria Monteforte after doing some shopping around the Pantheon area (we ended up buying some beautiful Italian leather handbags and a bunch of coffee products). We were looking for a gelato break before heading back to our hotel to drop off our goods and stumbled onto this spot. The gelato here is about the same price as... More

My wife, cousin, and I stopped at this Gelatoria right after visiting the Pantheon and before walking to the Forum and Colosseum. It was the best of many gelatos we had in places like Florence, Siena, Volterra, Lucca, and Pisa. The chocolate mousse flavor I had was like eating real European chocolate mousse made into ice cream. And with the... More

We have come to Monteforte when visiting Rome for 17 years, and it is still the best gelato in Rome (we do eat gelato other places too). If anything, it gets better, which is hard to imagine. Creamy, but still icy, amazingly true flavours AND in addition to several dairy-free fruit flavours, dairy-free dark chocolate which is to die for!!... More

Tried plenty of gelato when in Rome - but this place has to be the best. I can only say absolutely yummy - blow the calories

We've eaten at three gelato shops in Rome in the last few days. This was hands down the best! Their pricing is straight forward. You know exactly what you're paying. No, sadly, you don't always know in Rome as some places take advantage of American tourists. Cremeria Monteforte has the best gelato I've ever had. It is creamy, delicious and... More

The Rome Top 10 Guide Book recommends this Cremeria and rightly so! We all had different flavours and ended up trying each others choices and none disappointed. The prices are very reasonable especially considering the location directly to the right of the Parthenon as you face the Entrance. Dont stand in the sun waiting to get in to the Parthenon... More

Came back to Rome after a few years. Glad I did. As Usual I went to Cremeria Monteforte. Fantastic Gelato, probably best one in Rome and friendly service across from Pantheon. Sono toranto a Roma dopo qualche anno, come al solito siamo andati alla Cremeria Monteforte. Un posto fantistico, il miglior Gelato di Roma e servizio amichevole di fronte al... More

Amazing! Even a lactose intolerance is not keeping me away. Soo creamy! Got a tub €5 - 3 flavours - pistachio/tiramisu/coconut - amazing.

Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals.
