We came across La Botte and it became our favorite local restaurant. We actually are here twice for dinner during our 4 day stay. Our son said it was the best pizza he has had! The bruschetta sampler was fantastic as well as the bucatini and other offerings on the main menu. The specials were also great so make sure... More

My crew and I were in Rome overnight on business on Christmas eve and were looking for some good Italian near our hotel. I found La Botte on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. Our waiter Antonio had some great suggestions. We started with some Caprese and mixed appetizers. I recommend the prawns shown here in my review, they... More

We visited this restaurant during our 5day trip in Rome. We ordered for first plate a pizza with garlic and οregαnο pizza and two plates for second dish. I ate ravioli and my wife had a amarticiana. I was pretty satisfied with my plate but my wife had some complaints about the taste of the bacon. I also believe that... More

My visit in the restaurant was in that hours that there were no one else. Though The waitress was stony and inhospitable. She brought the pane to the table, but I had to ask for the vinegar and olive oil. Food was average, I ate starter lasagne (10€) and drank glass of (not that good) house wine (5€). The bill... More

Visited for lunch 2 days running over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed both lunches. First day I had a Calzone followed on the 2nd day by a Tuna salad. Very well looked after and well worth a visit. And

We came across this place as we were walking back to our hotel. We got two pizzas to go and wish we would have gotten three (they were that good). Nice crispy thin crust with excellent flavor.

We had lasagna and pizza gorgonzola for lunch - both very good and reasonable prices. The service was even better, because the waiter was really welcoming (not like grabbing and shouting at you on the outside like other pizzerias in the same street). He also made some really nice small talk. Just do not order beer - for whatever reson... More

La Botte was so good! My daughter and I were walking late in the evening for a bite to eat, and there we see Antonio, smiling at everyone who walked by. Of course we went in! And let me tell you, we enjoyed the best homemade Fettuccine Alfredo we have ever had! After years of cooking, I now need to... More

We were on a cruise with Celebrity and took an excursion to Rome. We had lunch there as part of the excursion. There was a group of about 25 of us. When we walked in there some someone hand cutting Italian ham with a knife near the front of the restaurant. They served us salad, lasagna and tiramisu. The salad... More

First things first. Many of the reviews here (especially in English) are describing the wrong restaurant. This isn't the La Botte in the city centre - it's in the south of the city, by the army base at Cecchignola. And it's not a tourist trap... any tourist that ends up here is probably very lost! This is a perfectly decent,... More
