Honestly one of the best pizza experienced I’ve ever had. There is a variety of fresh toppings but especially the pizza itself is amazing. You can personally choose how much pizza you want at a very affordable price.

The women who run this gem of a shop are friendly and wonderful. In true Italian fashion, they presented my children with freshly made pinsa/focaccia/schiacciata so that we could order. We tried a variety of what was available that day. One was mushroom stracchiano. We had two different zucchini varieties and an eggplant variety, one with pesto, one with olives, all with a fresh mozzarella. I am pretty sure anything you order would be fabulous. The bread is a fantastic example of Roman pizza and the toppings are all very fresh. They have 3 tables outside and some inside. Cash only, but very, very cheap prices for what you get. Mix of locals and a few scattered tourists.

We visited this pizza shop on our first day in Rome. Definitely a hole in the wall place that is not a tourist trap. The gentleman behind the counter was making fresh pizzas when we walked in and helped us pick vegetarian options. However I think coming from the states we were not used to the type of pizza Italians have. The pizza was great in general, however we thought it was a little low on salt other than that it was fantastic!

I was staying close to La Boccaccia and taking some slices to eat at home was a nice choice. The prices are very attractive and the pizzas (sold at weight) are not bad at all. You can also have the slices cut to the size you want them to be cut. They can also be warmed.

Look no further - this is the best. The variety is significant with many combinations including just vege, just meat, or full vege and meat and cheese, or potato rosemary, or mushroom or eggplant with cheese and tomato or olives, or sausage or prosciutto, pesto and tomato and more combinations . Incredible - we had many slices with beer. The trays of zucchini flowers were stacked and trimmed for more pizza. Dreams do come true. We enjoyed the botanical gardens close by too. XXOO

We discovered this little pizza shop on another trip to Rome and decided we would come back again. What you might find hard to do is decide what pizza you would like. The cases are full with the most delicious and different topping pizzas. Here you have the opportunity to pay by the size for the piece you choose. We decided on a Mushroom and Cheese Pizza and a Tomatoes, Burrata, Eggplant, and Spinach Pizza. We found the price of € 9.30 very reasonable for the two pizzas and a diet coke. The seating inside and outside is very limited. We were lucky to snag a table for two outside where we enjoyed our delicious lunch.

Mostly take out with a few seats inside and out. Very popular with locals with brisk service. Wide range of freshly made pizza served by the slice and charged by weight. Very tasty, Recommend marinara which is very simple vegetarian, no cheese, popular with fishermen historically apparently (although no seafood on it!). Very tasty and we tried quite a few different pizzas. Comes with a thin base and in a square slice, roman style. Has a fridge with soft drinks and beers for purchase.

Pizza was hot, crispy and delicious at a reasonable price. The owner was also very friendly and food is served quickly. Would recommend the potato and sausages pizza as well as the margherita pizza. This place is definitely worth a try.

The variety, consistency, and quality of this place makes it one of my all time favorites for pizza rustica (stand-up / not sit-down) in Rome. The crust is very crispy and the ingredients are all fresh. There is a lot of throughput so the pizza doesn't lie around long. The dough is remarkably spot-on with the right combination of crispy exterior and good amalgamation with the toppings. With so many low quality touristy pizza places around, especially in Trastevere, La Boccaccia is a welcome change. it's also in a very cute little nook not far from Piazza Trilussa. No frills quaint, excellent pizza place.

This was an absolutely delicious restaurant. The pizza was flaky and delicious. The toppings were simple but absolutely divine. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else to have some pizza. Place is small and homey with a very rustic feels. 100% recommend.

Superb pizza al taglio in Trastevere. You can choose the size that is cut for you. I went for tomato, cheese & basil and it was perfection. Fresh delicious tomatoes and cheese and excellent base. Service was very good and prices reasonable.

Emily the best pizza we ha din Rome !! Unlike pizza's in US, this was light, flavorful with plenty of veg options. The sauces on the side are spicy so take accordingly

I’ve sampled a fair few slices of pizza from all over Italy and the world, none are better than this! The potato and mozzarella is genius, the staff are friendly and fantastic at what they do, the prices are so reasonable it’s a great excuse to buy more, plus plenty of cold beers and soft drinks in the fridge for a warm day. If you’re visiting Rome you have to visit this little beauty! How anyone can review it less than 5* shows they just wanted a dominos

Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
