This restaurant was good value for money and didn’t charge table service. They served the meal with bread and brought us cake with the bill. The food was flavoursome usual Italian fair done well. Near the Vatican. Staff were lovely. We would recommend highly.

This restaurant proves one thing, always follow the advice of the waiter. He recommended some amazing pasta and wine, and the evening was a total success. The price was more than reasonable, for the quality that we got in return. The staff was extremely friendly...More

Not very touristic, not very fancy, just a local kitchen with dignity. Nice choices. Nice atmosphere. Nice service. We took 2 different pasta dishes and a salad, all 3 were good.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around Rome. Three of us had Mussels, Gnocchi, Prawns, Salmon, roasted vegetables and water and a bottle of wine. The food had a lot of flavor and was wonderfully presented. Excellent value, excellent food and excellent service. Will definitely...More

We went here based on the positive reviews and found the restaurant pretty close to our hotel. Since the weather was great we would have loved to eat outdoors but this restaurant has only 2 or 3 tables outside and these were already taken. The...More

1) Beware that on your bill they’ll CHARGE you for the “complimentary bread”(3€), which was brought to our table without asking for it. Demand they remove it, because that is unacceptable. Check your bill and keep track of the prices for the meals they are...More

My grandson and I had spent about 4 hours in a Vatican tour. I had read that too close to the Vatican meant higher prices and average quality, by Rome restaurant standards. We happened upon Mama' Bistrot and it looked inviting. We were very pleased...More

We were 4 adults with no set plans for dinner on this, our final night in Rome. Mama is located in a quiet & charming neighborhood of tree lines streets. And guided by nothing more than impulse, we went in for dinner. Beside the menu,...More

Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is
the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in
a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is
a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and
wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every
shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and
gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but
that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets,

It was very quiet when we were there, totally did NOT live up to the TripAdvisor reviews, I wondered if the reviews were genuine after we went there as it's really nothing special.

We ate at two tables outside (we were 4 people) yes the sidewalk is narrow but it doesn't matter. Of course it may be chilly depending on the weather. Service was great outside and inside (we are there twice).
