The restaurant a was a quite little oasis to stop during a long walking tour. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cold beer and food was delightful and yummy. The prices were also very reasonable. We highly recommend this out of the way stop, specially on a hot summer day.

Lovely small local bar with great food and brilliant staff. Reasonably priced for central Rome and out of the way of men trying to sell you roses.

I stumbled upon Anima Mundi and planned on having a quick drink but had a great time and conversation with the staff so stayed longer. I recommend anyone in the area stop in and enjoy the great atmosphere and friendly knowledgable staff.

Very friendly unobtrusive staff. Rapid service. Nice German and local beers. Not a huge selection, but what they have are good quality. Decent eclectic mix of music. Clean toilets, which is something of a novelty in Rome... I had a couple of cold weissbeers and my wife had campari spritzers. Standard tourist prices. €5 for a 400ml beer.

We ate here all times of the day. We stayed in a hotel right next to this bar. After a long day on your feet, all you want is a short walk to food and a beer. They were less than 100 feet from our hotel. Served great beer and excellent food. The wait staff were kind enough to listen... More

I bumped into this place while I was walking around the area with my wife and kids. It's snuggled in via del Velasco 1 with a nice atmosphere service and food. The lasagne and risotto were amazing. This place was so satisfactory that we came for another lunch dining experience before we left Italy

Cool place for a drink and a salad at the end of the day. Braseola, parmesan and rucola always good and so refreshing! Nice music and people, in such a quiet place for the touristic neighborhood (crick Massimo, colisseo)

We came across this bar as it was around the corner from our hotel. We thought we would pop in for a couple of drinks. The staff were really friendly and the couple of drinks turned in quite a few and we also had an antipasto for two which was lovely. So much we returned the next two nights and... More

This place was close to our accommodations and a great spot to end a hot day of sightseeing. The outdoor seating at sunset was a perfect place to enjoy a meal. The menu is very diverse and everything we ordered was quite good. My risotto was delicious. Prices reasonable, staff very pleasant. Wish we had time to return again.

Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
