This tiny organic restaurant is worth the walk from St. Peter's. They make delicious sandwiches and have a number of vegetarian and vegan options. The menu is all in Italian and there were no other tourists there (at least on the day we visited), but the people who work there speak great English and are extremely helpful. We ordered smoothies... More

The guys who work here are so dedicated and helpful. They let us build our own sandwiches that were delicious and well prices --offering veggie and not vegetarian options! Also they had a nice array of juices and smoothies, which we didn't have time for, but really wanted to try! It's one street over from the Vatican so it's secluded... More

I ate lunch here twice during my stay in Rome and it was very delicious! The sandwich vegetariano (with pate, seitan, tomato etc) was very good and filling and the juice tasted amazing. Everything was reasonably priced and not expensive at all :) They spoke very good english and were very friendly. I enjoyed it very much and i wish... More

We lived not far from this place, so we came a couple of times to have some vegan snack when we were starving. You should not expect anything extraordinary from this place, very simple, mostly take-away food, though you can have a sit as well (there are 3 chairs available inside and one tiny long desk-table). The ingredients were fresh,... More

After a thoroughly satisfying exploration of the Sistine chapel, St. Peter's and part of the Vatican museum, my daughter, friend and I headed off in search of some mid-afternoon nourishment. Based on the good reviews, we decided to look for Fa-Bio on Via Germanico. From the plaza in front of St. Peter's, we walked along the via Porta Angelica and... More

Delicious food, great service and the place is easy to find. Sitting possibilities are limited, there's a small bathroom. Here you will find locals picking up quinoa salads, tasty sandwiches and good juice. We ate inside and took two wraps (2,50€) to go. Highly recommended!

Very veggie & vegan friendly people and food. I had the vegetarian sandwich plus avocado and my buddy had a huge salad. This place lines up outside the door and has limited seating but it's worth both the wait and the squeeze. I also had oj with ginger and a bio-beer, both worthwhile. Their bread is wholesome and thick-cut but... More

Researched on line for this place and was so happy to find how close it is to the entrance to the vatican. Our Real Rome Walking Tour had a 1 hour lunch break so we walked down there was a line up but it moved quickly. We had a Tuna Sandwich and smoothie and it tasted great. So happy to... More

Fa-bio is a small organic canteen a few steps from St. Peter, born in 2010 from an idea of Fabio and Claudio, both with d iverse gastronomic experiences in the field behind. In a space of only 20 square meters - friendly and relaxing atmosphere - you can enjoy every day of our specialties: salads, sandwiches, baguettes, centrifuges and fresh fruit smoothies, all freshly made up using only organic products.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
