I am a vegan visiting Rome. A friend told me to give up that vegan stuff while I was in Rome because of all the great food. Well I wasn't going to stop being vegan so I had to find a great vegan restaurant. FaBio is a great little vegan/vegeterian sandwich shop near the Vatican. They have fruit and veggie... More

Came here before a tour of the Vatican for a quick sandwich and my boyfriend says it's the best sandwich he's ever had! I really enjoyed the vegan sandwich, it was my first time having seitan and it was lovely. Really fresh and good crusty bread. Lovely helpful staff and a great price. Definitely recommend.

This place is tiny, with just couple of seats, but definitely worth a visit. They make sandwiches, salads and smoothies and all for a good price - especially so close to Vatican. Salads around 5 euros, sandwiches a bit cheaper. The service was amazing and the salads are made from fresh ingredients right in front of you. I would definitely... More

This place uses fresh ingredients to make their food and juice so everything is nice and healthy. We had a juice and a smoothie and they were really nice. The staff are helpful however this place is tiny so everyone is squished in and there's a longer wait but it's worth it. A bit pricey for the portion size though.

This tiny organic restaurant is worth the walk from St. Peter's. They make delicious sandwiches and have a number of vegetarian and vegan options. The menu is all in Italian and there were no other tourists there (at least on the day we visited), but the people who work there speak great English and are extremely helpful. We ordered smoothies... More

The guys who work here are so dedicated and helpful. They let us build our own sandwiches that were delicious and well prices --offering veggie and not vegetarian options! Also they had a nice array of juices and smoothies, which we didn't have time for, but really wanted to try! It's one street over from the Vatican so it's secluded... More

I ate lunch here twice during my stay in Rome and it was very delicious! The sandwich vegetariano (with pate, seitan, tomato etc) was very good and filling and the juice tasted amazing. Everything was reasonably priced and not expensive at all :) They spoke very good english and were very friendly. I enjoyed it very much and i wish... More

We lived not far from this place, so we came a couple of times to have some vegan snack when we were starving. You should not expect anything extraordinary from this place, very simple, mostly take-away food, though you can have a sit as well (there are 3 chairs available inside and one tiny long desk-table). The ingredients were fresh,... More

This is good cafe more for to go. Pasta is 5, sandwich is 4 and bio beer is 2.80 euro. Close to the Vatican city and easy to find.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
