Very nice and well-kept place! Great food! Super helpful and professional employees. We had an aperitif with friends this evening and we enjoyed it very much

If you like pizza with thick crust and generous toppings, this is not your place. The least amount of dough to roll out a pizza, minimum amount of tomato sauce, very little cheese, burnt black around the edges, a sorry sight to behold and disappointing...to consume. Closer to a cracker than a pizza. And expensive.More

Good place to eat with family. Carciofi alla giudia recommended as is the straccetti con porcini. I've never eaten pizza there but meaty plates are good.

We arrived before the opening time of 7.30 and had to kill time, unlike some restaurants that let you in early if you are ignorant of the opening time. The food was well cooked and served without a great delay, but the place had the...air of efficiency rather than warmth towards the customers.More

After reading other reviews I struggle to believe we visited the same place!!... We had a lovely three course meal with wine, the best meal of our holiday. The staff were pleasant and helpful with explaining the menu as my Italian isn’t very good! Everywhere...was spotless and the atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxed, just perfect. It was the cheapest meal all holiday yet the best by far. I would definitely recommend a visit hereMore

Disgusting rude service. We arrived as the restaurant opened and were the only people in the restaurant. Noone approached us so we asked If we could come in and sit down. After sitting down we were told to move outside because our small sleeping dog...was not allowed inside (despite the law here stating dogs can absolutely enter any establishment). It was 34 degrees outside with 70% humidity. We all moved outside without any fuss. We waited 25 minutes whilst being bitten by mosquitoes and suffering from the heat meanwhile no one came to the table. I repeat - there were no other customers in the restaurant which was inundated with staff doing absolutely nothing. We left before ordering.More

I wish we had read the recent reviews before going out to this restaurant last night. We made a booking for five people to celebrate my birthday. We were recommended to go by our Airbnb host and heard the food was meant to be good....We wish we had avoided this awful restaurant! When we arrived, we stood waiting for 10 minutes while waiters walked past us. One waitress came over and asked us about our reservation. She then left us standing in the doorway to go and pull pints for another table. Eventually someone else came over and questioned us a few times about whether we had a reservation. We were then shuffled outside and given menus. We waited 20 minutes before someone came over to us. The waiting staff walked past our table and either avoided eye contact or looked through us. Eventually our orders were taken. And we again waited 15 minutes before our wine arrived. And we waited even longer for a missing glass for the table. There was delays in the food coming out to the table. Two pizzas came first and then there was such a wait that some us had to start eating. And while the pizzas were nice, I would have to say it was average. One of our party ordered one of the specials which was particularly mediocre - costing 17 euro but basically was 5 tiger prawns and a few tomatoes. It was really clear that the staff were avoiding coming over to us. Several times we saw one of the waitresses walk in and out of the door holding the same ashtray. It was clear that a lot of their attention seemed to be on a group who were out celebrating a 12th birthday. The staff were really rude to us and didn't give us the time of day for any part of our meal. We struggled to get their attention to even get two forks when the mains eventually arrived. Staff ran around looking busy while being completely incompetent. Even at the end of the meal we struggled to get their attention to pay. We went up to the till to pay and were left waiting because 4 members of staff seemed to be involved in cutting a birthday cake for the 12th birthday cake. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the money. You will feel like a nuisance. We honestly are normally easily pleased but this experience was so unpleasant we had to leave a review. A very unhappy Irish family.More

My boyfriend and I were told to go here by our apartment hosts and read good reviews on here. Well, the place is a joke. We looked the menu up online before going and thought it seemed reasonable so went along. We arrived and they...asked if we wanted to sit outside or inside and we chose outside. We were walked to a nice looking area out the back of the restaurant where there were mainly Portuguese people dining. While the Portuguese customers were sat at tables with beautiful furniture and nice candles lit, we were shown to a rickety old plastic table in the corner. But we sat down and thought that the other spare tables may have been reserved. Wrong. After waiting for 15 minutes, we were brought menus and started to scan them to see what we wanted to eat. After a few minutes a young waitress came over and said "oh you're English, let me give you our English menus". We were impressed that she noticed we were foreign and offered menus in our language so quickly. However, when we opened them, we realised that in the English menu, every dish (exactly the same food as the Italian menu) was between €3-5 more expensive. We both clocked this right away and said it to eachother but decided to order and agreed that we would take it up with the manager at the end. The food came and it was average (at the very best). We watched waiters pass us several times to serve Italian customers when we made it very clear that we wanted to order more drinks - but we clearly were not a priority. We even watched the female waitress walk back and forth looking for something to do and cleaning tables over and over after making eye contact with us and seeing that we required service. The food came after quite a long wait (roughly half an hour for a salad and pizza), we are and agreed it was not good food or good service so we asked for the bill. This came then for 20 minutes nobody came to take our payment. I urged my partner to get up and we went inside to speak to the head waiter (or manager). He was at the till and wanted to take our payment right away but I brought up the difference in pricing between the Italian and English menus. His reply was "oh the English menus are old, I'll check this for you". At this point we were happy that someone was finally treating us fairly so we waited for him to do his dedications from the bill. The bill was almost € more expensive than it would have been if we were Italian and ordered from the Italian menu so I was pleased that he was correcting this. He randomly flipped through pages of the English menu, pretended to do some calculations and then took ONE EURO OFF THE BILL. We hesitantly paid this because others were queuing behind us, it was getting awkward and we were just fed up and wanted out by this point. But honestly, if you visit the area as a tourist - there is much much much better on offer (SBANCO is an Italian restaurant very nearby. The staff helped us translate the menu, recommend some dishes and wine, stood andchatted to us for about 10 minutes and has the same pricing regardless of where you're fron - go here instead). Avoid avoid avoid !!!!More

Absolutely do not go to this restaurant. We stood at the please wait to be seated section for FIFTEEN MINUTES before a staff member even spoke to us. When we were seated (in a pretty much empty restaurant) we had to ask three times for...menus. We walked out without eating. Disgustingly rude staff.More

I can only recommend this restaurant for future visitors in Rome and staying in this area Not very expensive 42,50 euros with one main each, of course a beer and a dessert was expensive but is normal anywhereMore

We were made to feel very welcome and the team spoke excellent English. Throughout the evening we had good conversation and jokes with the waiting staff. Nice contemporary feel to the restaurant which was full of couples and families alike. We both had three course...meals with a carafe of red wine and a bottle of Prosecco and the bill was under €70, excellent value. Starters were local delicacies (suppli) and tempura vegetables. Mains was a pizza from the wood fired oven you can see as you walk in and homemade Gnocchi, both full of flavour and authentic. Dessert has to be the homemade tiramisu and an espresso. Would recommend this place to anyone especially guests staying at Hotel Romoli which is otherwise a bit stranded on the South of town. So good we’re planning to return later in our stay, far better than some of the tourist restaurants in Rome centre which we found over priced and could be of poor quality.More

It was rather nice food but nothing more special than anywhere else. The service was mediocre sometimes rather neglected. A couple of the wait staff tried very hard whilst the older gentleman and a young girl just stared and refused to help even when it...came to the bill. The menu basically consisted of pizza not a variety of pasta dishes - in Central Rome by the trev. Fountain there are lots with pasta dishes. I would go again if I wanted pizza. For 2 pizzas, fries, one suppli, a peroni and a latte machiato it cost €31 which I didn’t think was bad. It was simplistic though.More

I have visited this restaurant with friends and we ordered different dishes. The menu vary from pizza to meat and there are also some classics such as supplì (fried balls of rice) and baccalà fillets (fried buttered fish). I ordered the classic margherita roman’s style...(thin and crusty) and it was average, not bad but nothing unforgettable. Anyway the restaurant has nice white and shabby decors and the staff is friendly. The service was just little bit too slow. I suggest to book in advance because it can be really crowded especially during the weekend.More

A good pizzeria, not excellent. Pizza is good but is the most valuable food that you can find. The rest is not remarkable. Situated in Appia area, inside the pizzeria is nice, outside less. Attentive service.
