This is a fantastic restaurant near the Vatican. The menu is varied and prices are definitely reasonable. We had the fried sardines (alici fritte), sea bream and pasta...all fantastic! Definitely worth a visit if you're anywhere near the Vatican.

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by our Airbnb Host Luca and we were delighted. Jason looked after us really well and made us feel like friends as well as customers. He took the time to explain all the items on the menu and the ingredients in each. They are clearly passionate about the food they serve and... More

Here I had absolutely the best meal of my visit to Rome. This place is great, and specializes in the cuisine of Rome. Some of these same dishes I had at restaurants elsewhere, but they were prepared the best at Su e Giu. I didn't make a reservation, but it might be a good idea to do so Friday-Sunday. My... More

After a long day travelling, we were starving, and wanted something close to home! Being a family owned restaurant, that ticks the first box. We didn't have a reservation, but there were happy to accommodate us, the ticks the second box. Our waiter (who had the cutest accent) went above and beyond to explain anything we needed to know and... More

My husband and I have just traveled one month in Italy, and the fettuccine and meatballs I just had at this amazing restaurant was stupendous, to say the least. Wonderful prosciutto and melon antipasti, and a delicious Straccetti di Filetto... thinly sliced beef with arugula and fresh tomatoes and spices. My belly is very happy, and my wallet is not... We were referred here by Luca at Rome Armony Suites. It is a family run business. The food was excellent. Large portions. House wine was very good and inexpensive. They do have a wine list as well. Very small and intimate restaurant. My favorite part was the female owner who periodically checked on my food (out of the corner of... More

Not only was the restaurant family owned and run, some of the staff were related as well. Our waitress, on each occasion, was Alison, ably assisted by her dad. From the moment we entered the restaurant, she was engaging and friendly. She advised us of the specials that day and made recommendations. We wanted a truly Italian experience and she... More

The service was good, not great. I had the pasta with clams (perfectly al dente pasta with buttery clams). My wife had a salad. The owner heard that Luca (Rome Armony Suites) sent us and we were treated to sample a new antipasti on the menu. The lady that showed us to our table was a bit surly, but she... More

Loved this little place round the corner from our hotel. The risotto was to die for! So generous and tasty! We tried our Italian out on the owner which seemed to go a long way, although not speaking English she was so sweet and friendly. Would definitely go back.

Ate her twice on a recent break in Rome. Very friendly and welcoming staff especially Jason who was also very helpful with food recommendations. Beautiful local dishes such as porcini mushrooms and gnocchi. Highly recommended.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
