Fantastic little spot!

We decided to try this little place not far from our room, about a quarter mile down the road. It is tiny, only 5 tables (all full), They do not have a waiting area, so you mush form a line outside. It was raining the night we went, but we were happy to wait. Soon after we got there, 4... read more

Trattoria da Alfredo e Ada (A&A) is the definition of a mom and pop shop. We went for lunch and there were literally 2 people working: our server, who spoke Italian/Spanish/English (possibly more!), and a lady working in the kitchen that can only feasibly fit 2 people MAX. A&A is small, cozy, and intimate. Really a great atmosphere to dine.... More

We stumbled on this place going to our hotel from Piazza Navona and avoiding restaurants for tourists. It is small charming family restaurant with just 5 or 6 tables and we were lucky to get a table immediately (it was around 12.30). They don't have classical menu but waitress comes and tells you what do they have prepared for that... More

This was my favorite local restaurant in Rome. Chiara who is one of the owners is charming and welcoming. Chiara and her father cook everything fresh every day and when you visit she will tell you what is available with a smile and the nicest attitude. A truly warm person that we enjoyed getting to know. Open for lunch or... More

Saw rave reviews of this place so thought we'd check it out. Evenings open at 7pm, then pretty much totally full (about 7 tables) in 20 minutes after opening. I get the lovely touch of no printed menu, but portion sizes are really small and the wine was barely passable. We cashed our chips in and treated it as a... More

In my opinion it is rather hard to find a nice place in the touristic Rome , but this one is very nice.

Our guide recommended this place and it was GREAT. We never even saw a menu but we ate VERY well and at a very reasonable price. The restaurant only has five tables so if your table isn't full they will seat strangers with you! We had a great time chatting with a student from northern China. The food was a... More

My husband and I ate here in 2008 and had such a nice experience we made sure to return on our trip this past summer. There were more tourists there than I remember, but thankfully, the food did not suffer. Same great quality, casual environment and everything tasted exceedingly good. Highly recommended.

The food was great, the place was really small to the point where you would have to share tables with other customers but its a nice way to get to meet new people from different countries. I had the the cabonara pasta which was DOPE (really really good) same goes for the eggplant parm. would recommend to anyone traveling to... More

Alfredo e Ada is a gem! It's hardly a secret as some guidebook try to make you believe. Arrive early, the place is bound to be packed as soon as it opens. The service is friendly and patient. Tourists and locals are both cared for very well. The waiter even made a drawing of an artichoke for a couple next... More
