Please DO NOT go to this restaurant you will be ripped off. Look at all the other reviews before ours. We wish we had checked trip advisor first. The owner was charming at first but don't be fooled he is far from it. He wanted us to have what he chose from the menu (the most expensive) but we had... More

The meat of cannelloni was uncooked and the owner told us it is not possible to cook it well (what the heck!), most of the food was pre-heated. Service was pressing and annoying. The worst restaurant I have ever been.

I just read the other reviews...I have to base mine on our own experience. We were on vacation and I did not inspect the bill in detail - don't care because we are on vacation and we are going to spend money so I don't know if we were "scammed or not" we were jet lagged and exhausted and had... We were extra charged 10€ for basically nothing, probably for breathing the air in their infectious restaurant. The table was dirty. They didn t give us napkins, just a towel, so they can charge us 3 more €. We ordered tortellini con funghi (fade taste, not salty, nothing special) and pizza diavola (the dough was hard, the ingredients were bad).... More

He will rip you off we ate just pasta and pizza and a starter the price went up to 400 euros we were 10 people in all and they said a free bottle of wine which he included in the price at the end and he charged us for the tables we were apart From the service charge would have... More

The food was below mediocre and we got ripped off. The waiter got unpleasant when we challenged the bill, said: "this isn't Mc Donalds" and that €28,- for a plate of 4 slices of (rancid) parmaham and 4 slices of Salami was normal price in Rome, cause that's apparently what you get when you order 2 bruscettas.

Sorry to say it but we were totally ripped off. We were in the area waiting to meet a tour and were charmed in. This is rip off Rome at its worst. Owner's false charm is as authentic as the food. All round awful experience, and in common with other reviews we walked straight into worst scam in Rome. Awful... More

I went back just for the porcini and arugula! It's halfway between the Spanish steps and via veneto....of course it's not cheap...neither are the porcini. Definitely recommend.

Seemed very friendly and the bruschetta was good. Downhill from there: the owner was very pushy about what we chose and offered my wife a glass of wine. When it came it was half a bottle in a very large glass ! The main course was a decent size but no more than average in quality and the pasta was... More

What you have read from the other people complaint is absolutely correct. We ordered a 12€ pizza, 16€ piece of meat which came with a 6€ of very plain salad. 4€ for a bottle of water. Draft beer that I was told that is 5€ so I ordered it but charge me 7€. When I complained that I was told... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
