I had a wonderful time at Pietro al Pantheon. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of my mostly English vocabulary. Sometimes it took a while to get the servers attention but just sit back and enjoy the people watching in the meantime. I ordered the fried zucchini with sardines and mozzarella which was quite good but couldn't compare to... More

The place has an old time feel with mismatched decor that adds to the charm, however the service was slow - there were three servers for a half full restaurant who never smiled. We ordered in true Italian fashion, pastas then secondi dishes that all came out at once leaving the dishes cold. Pastas were average - we ordered spaghetti,... More

Ate here every night Sara, plavi, Katia, and stefano are just great. We miss them already. The 8 of us could not have asked for better host and food. The mushrooms, truffles, burrata and the zucchini flowers were just what we needed every night. Go go go.

This was our third visit here and again excellent. Good food, service, wine and at a good price. Have always been made welcome and will come again!

Expected a lot from a 4.5 star of 1500 reviewers. The athmosphere is ok, small place with painting and a very cosy feeling. Had two glasses of wine and homemade pasta. Portions were small (but its ok, more than then we would have died) but tge taste was a bit dull. Maybe its me coming from spiceland, but the pasta... More

No rush, no pretence, just good food. Just one more meal left in Rome before heading back home. Would it be Hard Rock Cafe, like we do in every Hard Rock city... or should we choose wiser, not to miss our last Italian meal. We chose wisely! Risky location, close to a major attraction, the Pantheon. 4 tables on the... More

We went there to check it out and ordered only a dessert. It was good so we were going to come back the next day. We ordered the dessert again and wine and this waitress in bad mood said it wasn't possible "this is not a bar. Not possible". We paid for the wine we didn't completely drank and went... More

Nice cool and interesting spot for lunch near the Pantheon. Good food and nice wine selection. Great atmosphere photos, antiques and interesting objects surrounding you. The fried artichoke appetiser was interesting one plate for the table was enough and well worth the tasting. Excellent service.

Average food average service with no particular view. I expected food to be outstanding at a place not on a piazza or without a view of the Pantheon. Not so. Maybe it was an off day for them.

We were doing some shopping as we passed this restaurant and noticed some very nice looking pasta dishes being consumed. Dropped by a little later and had lunch there today. They initially advised it would be a 20min wait, but got a table within 5mins. Both of us had a Tagliatelle pasta dish and shared a bittle of Pinot Grigio.... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
