We stop by because the decoration was amazing. And we discovered that the food was even better. Special place. A must in Rome. We love it.

My husband and I visited on our last night in Rome, and I can't think of a better way to end our trip. We did not have to wait for a table on a rainy Thursday night at 7:30, but the restaurant filled up quickly. Those that were waiting for a table got complementary prosecco. I had the penne all'arabiata... More

My favorite restaurant in Rome. Not for those looking for touristy Italian (although many on the same street are). Great food!!! Reasonably priced wine. Ask for wine recommendations. Wonderful service. The people here are proud of their food and should be. Homemade pasta, fresh meats and vegetables Stefano is a gracious host..

This restaurant was recommended by the apartment owner where we stayed (we stayed right next door to The Pantheon). We were not disappointed. Unusual pasta dishes that are traditional only to this area of Italy. Good friendly service too and not overly expensive. Sit outside and "people watch" over a lovely bottle of wine and some great food, and just... More

Were the with group of four. Enjoyed a lot and had one good memory to add into our files. Service was funny in good way. Capuccino will not be served late in the evening ;) Restaurant was quite occupied and seems to be one of the favourites among locals. Quality/price ratio was good and Grappa also.

We wondered down this beautiful street and stumbled across this restaurant which from the outside looked rather charming. We were sat down and asked whether we wanted water still or sparkling. We asked for still. We were give TAP water in a glass jug, like every other table. They placed bread on the table from experience of being charged €3... More

First off, let me start by saying I have eaten home cooked Italian food all my life and the pasta here tasted exactly like my father's pasta. The cod a la Romana (baccala a al Romana) again tasted like it was homemade. The bread was fresh. The waitress was lovely. She was however annoyed, and rightfully so, at the customers... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
