We spent six nights in Rome in late August 2016 and we enjoyed the food, the decor, the atmosphere and the customer service, in particular by the lovely Lidia. In fact, we enjoyed the total 'package' so much that we had dinner there on three of the six nights.

If you are looking for a restaurant that doesn't care about customer service this is the place for you. The prices were not bad but that makes sense when the food is that dismal. We all ordered different dishes and not one of them was worth the effort of chewing. The oxtail meat pasta... maybe oxtail bone and par boiled... More

This small, cramped, chaotic trattoria has bags of character. The decor is an eclectic mix of all kinds of stuff from small boats to wall clocks, the staff are a similar mix. but there's nothing random about the food, which is consistently good. The steaks are good and well cooked, the salads are excellent, and the boss delights in showing... More

The bruscettes they brought as where anbaked with no taste at all. The glasses where filthy. We asked the waitress to change them and the other ones where smelling like egg. The pasta was cold and overcooked. The toilet was awful...

It was a great luck that we selected this trattoria as the place to dinner. The decoration seemed so authentic that we thought it is not just the typical place and we loved it. The cooking was very nice (I loved the crispy fried artichokes, the vegetables soup and the profiterols!!!), the service was nice and respectful (always advising on... More

We had dinner here on our son's last night of vacation with us. My husband and I ate here twice, 2 years ago, and enjoyed it very much. It is a small, cozy place so I recommend reservations. When we made our reservations earlier that afternoon I told the owner we had eaten there 2 years ago and now wanted... More

Loved this little restaurant. Very busy all night long, very popular. Lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly. All at a reasonable price for Rome. We want to go back again. 😀

We stop by because the decoration was amazing. And we discovered that the food was even better. Special place. A must in Rome. We love it.

My husband and I visited on our last night in Rome, and I can't think of a better way to end our trip. We did not have to wait for a table on a rainy Thursday night at 7:30, but the restaurant filled up quickly. Those that were waiting for a table got complementary prosecco. I had the penne all'arabiata... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
