The best service we've had in Rome so far. Wonderful food and wine and great, friendly staff. Do yourselves a favour, leave the long queue for Nannarella and come in here instead. Definitely seems underrated compared to other places we've been.

Tasty pasta amatriciana, tasty chocolate torte, and pasta carbonara. Nice staff. Good price and cozy atmosphere. You don't need to make reservations, but during Christmas time, you may have to wait to be seated.
Firstly, a huge thank you to our wonderful waiter called Belal... Grazie Mille Belal per la tua pazienza, gentilezza ed il tuo buon senso dell'umorismo! Excellent, authentic Italian food and very reasonably priced. The Cacio e Pepe pasta was cooked to perfection (my husband is...Italian, so he knows a thing or two about it!) and the pizzas were absolutely delicious - thin, crispy with good quality, fresh toppings! Highly recommend this trattoria, which is conveniently placed in the heart of Trastevere, Great atomosphere too!More
25 years visiting Roma gives an idea about what to expect. A cold and rainy day this Eastern, we dropped into Cave Cadem pizzeria/trattoria (meaning: Beware of the dog ;-) ). Brown, wooden chairs and benches. And a unique welcoming staff, friendly, funny, service minded....Ordered pizza from a broad meny, real Roma style, delicious! The following days, two times we broke a principle; never go to the same restaurant during the holidays. Ordered new dishes, some Ok, some good, some very good. But we came back with even better moods and smiles than the first time, and the waiters responded with even better service at a level seldom in the tourist machine Roma. Cave Cadem offers not only food, but amusement, very much thanks to the twins whom served us, but also because of the guests, a fine mix of tourists and Romans with the whole family, plenty cosy noise. The pizza and portions are big, and price level low, service outstanding and informal. We have got a new favourite. A presto!More
We have been here many times and send all of our friends here. The extensive menu allows everyone in a group to choose their favorite dish--the pizza is amazing, and the typical Roman dishes are all scrumptious. The service is kind and friendly, often funny,...always attentive. The manager, Valentina, is a gem. The prices are very reasonable and the location unbeatable.More
We had a decent couple of pizzas here one evening when we wanted an early dinner. There were a few people in line already but as it was still early, things moved quickly and we were given an outside table without waiting more than 10...minutes. It’s an easy, casual place. Service was fine, pizzas were fine and it is located in a lively spot, just near central Piazza San Calisto.More
Lovely. Very friendly, quick service, excellent food. A sound-track from the 1970s - what’s not to like?Oh, and our bill remined me of the last millenium too.
We waited 2 hours for our food, which was only 2 pasta dishes. Food then arrived cold and was quite underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend eating here as it’s wasn’t worth the wait. Very very understaffed it looked like.
Wonderful food, especially the bruschette! We especially loved how affordable it was! Lovely location and outdoor seating.
Excellent, casual neighborhood restaurant. Delicious food, great house wine and attentive service. Great prices too !!
many many years going to this place after finishing my work shift in the near plaza Santa Maria, i return after a few months for an aperitivo initially, and with intention of dining.me and my friend had a total of 6 glasses of wine in...the arch of time of an h. 1.30. Meanwhile the waiter comes asking fo the table, this even though there were table inside and a number of 4 tables outside without NOBODY waiting for a table. I ask the waiter for a seventh glass of wine before starting dinner, because for Italian standars it was still early, and instead of the wine we are being presented with the bill. Nobody asked us what our intention were, and it seemed like they wanted to get rid of us because we are locals and not tourists. We were finally approached by a lady that looked like one of the owners tha tried to make it look it was fault of the waite when it was daylight obvious it was hers/ theirs intentions. When i told her we work in the same industry and i know damn well whats going on she got verbally agressive towards us. Now, being in the same field I'm not exactly comfortable making this review but i am also aware that Rome has a bad reputatio because of places like this. Least but not last, the staff is kind and servi all fault goes the owners! Trattate bene e sarete trattati meglio! Ex portatrice di clienti!More
Excellent choice, quality and value. On the edge of a very busy area (so no queue thankfully). Highly recommended
Cosy restaurant. Great service. Freshly made food. Freshly fried vegetables and a fantastic Saltimbocca. And the prices are friendly.
Looking forward to trying new things, we were seated outside and a server didn't show up for about 15 minutes. Ordered drinks and placed food order. Wrong order came out; new order never arrived. Young couple (also American) were seated next to us and were...served quickly. After another 30 minutes, we paid for our drinks and left. I believe the server may have been new and didn't know the food items well. Manager came over to check us out, never saw server again. Go to Nanarella's instead!!More
Me and my sister found this place by chance the plates seemed to be mouthwatering so we decided to sit and order. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazinggg so good. The order took a bit of time to be prepared but...that was fine for me!More
