100% LOCAL vibe. Great prices and great way to mingle with the locals. Get packed really early so advise to get there before 5:30. Beers and drinks were VERY cheap with a large Peroni beer running about 3.50 EU.

Totally authentic to the point if you don’t speak Italian good luck. The best vibe, drinks are great and it is what I consider to be true Rome. The Italians are the best!
Came here because of Stanley Tucci's "Searching for Italy" program for a maritozza, and it was just as fabulous as it looked on the program. Plus I was (just) able to complete the entire transaction in my (very limited) Italian. The bun was light, the...whipped cream wasn't as super sweet as it is in the States. Oh, it was heavenly! Definitely worth a detour!More
Good prices for drinks in Rome, however, terrible service, very rude to anyone who isn't Italian. We asked for a table and got seated outside without being handed a drinks or food menu. The manager behind the bar whistled for one of the waiters to...lead us to our table and we were able to make out that the manager pointed out to his staff that we were english tourists. From this point on it all downhill. When the waiter came outside to take our order we asked for a menu to which he tutted and huffed at us, stormed back into the bar to get us menus and threw them on our table. In addition, the staff were making gestures and calling me names that were quite easily transferable to english, in particular, the large waiter who was quick to cause unnecessary problems when i was just trying to speak to them politely. Would NOT recommend. They overall made us feel like an inconvenience.More
My new favorite place in the world. Amazing coffee and service. 1 euro cappuccinos. The staff was nothing but sweet and helpful. Went here every morning of my trip.
Friendly local bar. Great place to meet and watch the world go by. Unbelievably cheap drinks. Has been made even more popular by being featured on Stanley Tuccis Finding Italy. Nonnas next door is also worth a visit as the Tiramisu is amazing.
Overhyped spot and the elderly man behind the counter was incredibly rude, when I tried to order he shouted and refused to give us the pastries we asked for, all very aggressive. He treated all the older Italian male customers with much more respect, classic!...Can get much better coffee and pastries elsewhere…More
Bet bar in Trastevere. Amazing "Maritozzo", with the best price in town. You can have "granita al cahffe con Panna for only 1 euro
Probably the most rude cashier I had ever encountered. This italian guy that looked like the grandpa from my big fat greek wedding didn't know anything about good manners. It's better to retire soon as he ruins the reputation of this place. I hope not...all italians are like him. Our worst experience in Rome!More
We went to take a coffee for takeaway and we didn't have cash with us at that point...while the owner had a right to be pissed (paying by card for a couple of euros is a struggle sometimes) this didn't mean that they could make...gestures and tell us that we were stupid. Never again there - terrible customer service and they called us names etc. The grandpa at the checkout was awful to us. Maybe he thought that because we were young girls he could talk that badly to us and we won't react. Shame. Next time you should treat your customers better and learn manners as well as express more politely what you want. It is not tolerated.More
Discover a small bar in Trastevere, Rome, that captures the true essence of the neighborhood. This hidden gem manages to maintain its authenticity while warmly welcoming both locals and tourists. Even in the midst of a tourist hotspot, they keep their prices surprisingly low. Grab...a beer, mingle with locals of all ages, and soak in the genuine Trastevere vibe. A must-visit spot for an affordable and authentic experience in Rome. Cheers!More
My wife and I really enjoyed Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. We decided to recreate a breakfast he had here in an episode. This bar was a two minute walk from our lodging. Wonderful breakfast and so, so lively at night. This place is always...busy and fun.More
Always a fab atmosphere . Locals / tourists old / young !! Bands play in evening sometimes and all ridiculous affordable prices . You have to mess about getting a seat but not a problem Recommended
We came here everyday for breakfast. Maritozzi and coffee. Fabulous. Our first time the waiter helped us, for us seated and brought out our order. Once we knew what to expect, we ordered inside each day and then sat outside with locals and tourists. Friendly...and ridiculously cheap prices which was a refreshing change in a city that charges 10euros for a coffee in some places. Here we had 2 X Maritozzi and 2 X coffees for 3.80More
Cheap drinks, totally crazy atmosphere, relaxed regulars and tourists of all generations. You feel like you've always been there and that everyone is your friend. An ideal place to relax after a busy day.
