You pay per weight for the different food, so we got some pasta, vegetable pie, spinach, pizza and cake and it was all tasty and well prepared. Nice atmosphere with both tables and take away

Great food, great atmosphere, great prices. We were here for late lunch and had three types of pizza and some spinach- ricotta tart. Everything was really good. Probably the best food we had in Rome

An old bakery living off its history and reputation, Roscioli on Via Buonarroti charges top dollar for fancy breads, pizzas and deli-type dry goods on the shelves. The pastry section is where it fails: soggy everything soaked in liqueur makes it heavy and unimaginative. Again,...More

We discovered this on our first night, as it is very close to our accommodation. After a few days wandering in wonderful Rome, we have not found anywhere as friendly, welcoming, good quality and/or reasonably priced. The owner is a treasure and welcomes you as...More

Stayed right across the street from this wonderful bakery/deli/restaurant/cafe. Try the mini pizzette- tiny pizzas- definitely addictive! Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helped us as our Italian is poor. We tried and they helped with our Italian lessons! Visited everyday for breakfast, quick coffees...More

This restaurant was recommended by a staff member at the Hotel Napoleon when my husband and I asked about grabbing an informal meal nearby. The restaurant was just around the corner from the hotel, and did not disappoint! The interior was cozy, and had an...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
