Dined here many evenings during our Rome trip. Delicious pizza, pasta and steak. Nowhere else we tried compared for quality, service and value for money. It's very traditional and gets busy with locals as evening goes on. Our 11 year old was very well looked after also. Get yourself over to this place!

Just around the corner from Hotel Sant Angelo, you will find this nice family run Ristorante / Pizzeria. The food was good, the wine plentyfull and the atmosphere very nice. Visiting it by the end of January we got the impression that the main part of the quests were locals, adding the special, local flavour to the dinning exoperience.

We were looking for a traditional place to eat and stumbled across this unassuming restaurant. Very Italian ..full of Italians which says it all! We went 2 nights and tried the pizzas, pasta and meatballs. All very simple, small-ish portions but authentic and you felt you were eating how the Italians eat. However, if you order a meat dish ,... Honestly, me and my partner were wondering around trying to find a nice place to eat and we found this restaurant and when we got there is was really busy but we were seated within 2 minutes, the service was great and friendly, the food was perfect and we couldn't believe that we had 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 pints... This place was like an oasis in a dessert, my girlfriend and I were looking for places to eat and we actually were going to go to a restaurant around the corner but we saw the menu for that night and it was looking fairly scant! So we walked around and after looking at the menu in La Francescana we... More

It was easy to make a reservation with short notice (although the restaurant became fairly crowded after our early arrival). We particularly enjoyed our Primi Piatti: I was delighted by my Penne (?) alla Gricia, and others in our group lauded their Penne All' Arrabiata, the Tonarelli Cacio e Pepe and their Carbonara. The Secondi (both Di Carni and Di... More

Having just landed in Rome with no time to make a reservation, this wonderful restaurant kindly fit us in for the New Year. We received a free glass of prosecco on ordering and another one again at the stroke of midnight. The food was very well priced for Rome and was very filling; the tiramisu was to die for. Staff... Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
