We decided to walk from the Borghese Gallery to St Peters. By the time we reached the reached the other side of the river we were hungry. We wanted something not too heavy and not too expensive. Thanks to Trip Advisor, we found this place. Great pizza, fantastic antipasto bar, inexpensive wine and a great waiter. We were very happy... More

La Francescana was a great surprise. It's very popular with locals (lots of big families gathering) but also seems to be very popular with non-locals. The food is fantastic and very well priced. My friends and I were in Rome for three nights and went to a place recommended by our hotel the first night and it was okay but... More

The food here at Francescana is excellent and very affordable. We stayed at a hotel close by and noticed a lot of locals eating there which means the food has to be good. We ended up eating here 3 more times. They always say if the restaurant has locals and they don't put pictures of their food on the menu... More

A late arrival in our B&B and our host recommended this place as one of her favorite in the neighborhood. We were not disappointed it was fully booked and we waited a bit to get a table. But it was worth to. Good start for our weekend in Rome with a spaghetti with fresh fughi. And a table rose fresh... More

The food was excelent. The attention is very good and the prices are fine. Very nice place to have dinner looking at the beautiful streets of Rone on a summer night.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and turned out to be a real find. The food was varied and very good. The restaurant seemed particularly popular with Italians, which always seems to be a good sign.

Pleasant restaurant. Typical Italian pizza. Spaghetti 'vongole' also quite good. We eat on the terrace which is on the street but nevertheless quiet. Quite efficient and helpful waiter. Delicious water melon as dessert, basic but so good and a perfect ending of a nice menu

My partner and I absolutely loved our meal here! Food is very fresh, well priced and extremely tasty! The service was also great! We shared a calamari and prawn starter, my partner had ravioli and I had the special which was mussels with tomato pasta! Would definitely go back - perhaps our favourite meal in Rome!

Visited La Francescana twice whilst in Rome. We stumbled across this little restaurant which was a stones throw away from our hotel (Dei Mellini). From the prosciutto and mozzarella starter, seafood linguine to pannacotta everything was delicious. My husband had the veal with ham and also the grilled seafood...both absolutely devine. Prices are good and 1/2 litre of white or... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
