My partner and I absolutely loved our meal here! Food is very fresh, well priced and extremely tasty! The service was also great! We shared a calamari and prawn starter, my partner had ravioli and I had the special which was mussels with tomato pasta! Would definitely go back - perhaps our favourite meal in Rome!

Visited La Francescana twice whilst in Rome. We stumbled across this little restaurant which was a stones throw away from our hotel (Dei Mellini). From the prosciutto and mozzarella starter, seafood linguine to pannacotta everything was delicious. My husband had the veal with ham and also the grilled seafood...both absolutely devine. Prices are good and 1/2 litre of white or... More

My wife and I are in Rome for a few days and were struggling to find a really good restaurant that served decent seafood. We happened across La Francescana by chance. Two very substantial starters followed by two seafood dishes which have honestly been the best I've tasted in a long time.House wine and dessert followed by coffee all for €70... More

Had three courses here with my husband as our hotel is just across the piazza Cavour, all food very tasty and freshly cooked. Service was great and the price of the whole meal including drinks was under 50euro. Would return.

This place is charming and serves delicious food. We came here two nights in a row, and enjoyed everything. The waiters are very friendly and speak perfect English. The tables outside are lovely and this place is popular with locals and tourists alike.

We stopped here en route to the Vatican. Prices were much more reasonable than the places closer by. Only a 10 minute walk to Vatican City. We shared prosciutto and mozzarella which was delicious. We then shared pizza and pasta which were really generous portions. Pasta of the house is really fab! No room for dessert but everything looked lovely!... More

Went there 2 times - the first one was definitely a better experience. We had pizza and pasta and it was a win at very reasonable price. They offer a starter corner (for 3-7euros) where you can by yourself pick a plate full of starters - pickles, fried eggplants, green vegetables, tms while you wanting for a main dish. Tasty... More

Good prices, friendly atmosphere, excellent Italian food. Not too many tourists, this place is more popular for local people. You will love this place.

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
