We did show up late that night before they closed. The pizza, suppli and fritta was meh. Maybe because they were not as fresh? Not like we got a discount for any of these items because they been sitting there for hours and they were...ready to close.More

We visited the forno twice as our rental apartment was nearby. The fruit tarts and apple and honey pastries were delicious and we also tried 2 types of Roman "suppli" to have as an appetizer for dinner. Staff was very nice and the bakery has...many local shoppers, not just tourists.More

We were all looking forward to the best pizza by the slice in Rome as recommended by friends and family but I must say we were really disappointed. Half of the ones we ordered weren’t heated up, the dough was very dry and there was...barely any sauce on the Margherita. So imagine a dry cold pizza when you’ve been told it’s the yummiest in Rome. I thibk the place lives on its good reviews and doesn’t pay attention to discrepancy of service. Maybe it was a bad day but it certainly wasn’t the best pizza in Rome!More

We stopped here on a food tour and we received a Rosso and Bianco roman pizza. I was quite surprised I liked it as much as I did, considering it's a big departure from American-style pizza. The Rosso is a super thin and floppy pizza...with only red sauce on it. I don't like floppy pizza but I loved this. The Bianco was even better it has no sauce and reminded me of focaccia bread but not as dense (it's not really a close comparison). The Bianco had a great garlic flavor, our guide said you can take these to the deli and ask them to put deli meats inside. However, I enjoyed them both plain. On a different day, we came back to order more and our pizza came to a whopping 5 euros. To order you indicate the size of the slice you want and they charge by weight, which is typical for Roman pizza places. They didn't heat up our order, but honestly, it's fine cold.More

Recommended to us by an Italian friend. Lots of different breads, focaccia, delicious cakes. All priced by weight and really reasonably priced.

Best Pizza for take out in Rome. Il Forno has been a staple in Campo dei Fiori for years. It never fails to provide superior pizza by weight. The white pizza with salt fresh out of the oven is my favourite. The pizza wit tomato...sauce doesn’t disappoint!More

I thought this was just ok. We were there near closing time so I think the pizza we received was not the freshest but I was not impressed. We tried a different popular pizza place near by and it was infinitely better.

Great pizza and bakes. Since its all done by weight, its difficult to estimate your total cost so pay attention to what youre ordering :)

When you lock your keys in the apartment but have your wallet, come here and grab a bite while you wait to get let back in. We did this 3 days after we arrived and it was delicious! We also loved the blueberry tarts and...budini di riso. It's like a baked rice pudding in a cup. Not super sweet, but a great takeaway with a nice coffee for later. Some people complain about the staff, but we tried our limited Italian and they were all nice. Great selection for a quick lunch, snack or treat.More

Stopped here on the way to the Pantheon for a late breakfast/early lunch. Grabbed two freshly made sandwiches, both were great and hit the spot. Would be very easy to grab and go, but we ended up eating inside, as it had begun to rain....Would definitely recommend if you need a quick meal!More

A tour guide suggested we try this place for the freshest baked goods. We were pretty excited to venture out to the bakery right at 8am the next day to be there at opening time. To be honest…we ordered a few things and were very...underwhelmed. Everything tasted super dry and mediocre. Not sure what all the hype is about but would definitely not recommend going here.More

Delicious takeaway pizza. Walk up, point to what you want, and show them how much you want with your hands. It’s hectic, but totally worth it. Grab more than once kind to try, and take it outside. Fantastic.

Gourmet and foodie walking tours usually include this bakery on their itinerary but it’s easy enough to find on your own. It’s centrally located in the popular Campo Di Fiori piazza, right next to Le Carbonara restaurant. I go here often, mainly for the crispy,...warm pizza slices, which seem to be continually coming fresh out of the oven. Recently I tried the potato slice which was OK but I prefer the zucchini tower with anchovies. Mostly I use choose whichever one I’ve just seen coming out of the oven. The pizza is in a slab, rather than circular so you need to let them know how much you want and they will cut off 1/4 or 1/2 for you and then you pay at the register in the front corner of the shop, not where you order. Expect to see a queue but even when the line is long and the shop looks full, it still moves quickly. It’s worth noting that the bakery is split between two shopfronts, with a small lane in the middle. You can go to either but the hot pizza is best from the shop on the right and the one on the left seems to have more sandwiches and panini. Both have sweet pastries. I prefer to go in the morning because there’s a large flower and farmers’ market in the piazza. In any case, like many Italian shops, the bakery closes in the middle of the day between 2:30 – 4:40pm. It stays open until 7:30pm but is closed all day on Sundays. The only problem is that there’s nowhere to sit easily with your food in the piazza. There is no seating at the bakery so we have sometimes perched around the edge of the fountain and at other times, around the base of the Giordano Bruno statue but both spots are in the sun.More

Best pizza we had in Rome! Highly recommend the Buffula (with Buffalo mozzarella). Good beer too. Nice people. Great to sit at night. Though it is in touristy Campo di Fiori, we were surrounded by Italians grabbing a late night dinner or snack.

A whole pizza is between 10-12 euros, is traditional thin crispy crust, and about the size of a medium in the US
