Love this place and so friendly. They fixed SK Brann match on the telly. First from Norway 😊 pub and sport. The food are okey and my children loved the non alcoholic summer drink.

As a student studying in Rome, the Abbey was always a favorite among my friends and I. Great deals throughout the week and some awesome people behind the bar. I also love it when they do live music. The atmosphere is comfortable and like a typical Irish pub (especially during football and rugby matches). If you want a cool pub... More

We were looking for at place to have a refreshing beer, and from the outside it seemed lovely. When the waitress finaly decided to acknowledge us, she rolled her eyes at a simple question I made about the beer selection and answered very crudely. We definitely will NOT go back there.

Despite being from the US it was a nice change of pace to visit this Irish pub in Rome. The drinks were great as was the food. Definitely recommend visiting.

I spent some time away from the family to watch Wimbledon and have a few beers during. Good location, good crowd, funny and talkative bar staff. St. Michael the bar man was particularly funny with no in-ambitions. I would go back next time I am in Rome and I recommend to all.

What a cracking little pub, with brilliant staff and a lovely chilled atmosphere. Dave is awesome behind the bar, and lolled after us all night. You should pay them a visit !!

We stopped by this pub because it was so close to the place we were staying and ended up coming back multiple times during our stay. The staff was friendly every time and the price for a pitcher was very affordable!

Boiling walking around Rome to find this little gem. The Italian bars/restaurants are brilliant but this was fab for a draught beer and a cider when you've been sightseeing. Had the nachos to see us through. Great. Amusing bar man (Irish)

After much deliberation on where to catch the euro football matches during our stay in Rome - this unfortunately turned out to be the worst choice. We visited earlier in the day and it was very empty and spoke to a gentleman to ask if we could return later in the evening and he said sure. When we returned later... More

Went in for a bite to eat and a drink and to watch the football. I was firstly greeted awfully (halted as I walked in) being questioned about where I was "allowed" to sit. I was finally given a spot but told I MUST order food otherwise i would be kicked out!! I then settled on a drink and ordered... More

Description
The pub takes its name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre, which was founded by William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory.Stage props and costumes from the storerooms of the Abbey Theatre have been used in the decor, giving the pub a very special atmosphere. The six fully air conditioned rooms of the pub are spread over two floors, and a huge range of Irish whiskeys, cocktails and long drinks are on offer, as well as Irish beers on tap including, of course, the famous Guinness. The Abbey Theatre offers irish, italian and international cuisine all day everyday. We are able to show all major sports throughout the pub on 14 TV screens. ( NFL, Premiership, Serie A, Rugby World Cup...). The pub has a happy hour during the daytime, live irish music every week, and free Wi-Fi.The pub also offers private parties or weddings. Our welcoming pub, is considered one of the best in the city and it is laid out in typical Irish style with lots of little rooms linked by narrow corridors.
