On our last day in Rome we discovered this Irish gem We were welcomed to the premises by Ricky from Co Kildare and the cider & pinot grigio went down really well We indulged in the beef & guinness pie and the chilli con carne and both lived well up to our expectations too! Our only regret is that we... More

Taco Night is on Tuesdays and Thursdays and you get tacos for 1 euro each (minimum 3) and they are delicious! Don't be scared by the fact that you are getting Mexican food from an Irish pub in Italy, these tacos are legit

When in Rome, and that's a great place to be, you may have a desire to check up on your teams or just have a proper pint. This is an excellent spot for watching a game and enjoying classic pub food. It's just a short walk from Piazza Navona. For more than a decade this spot has been on my... More

Went to lunch with a friend. It was hard to find a place where the constant tv would not be too much of a distraction but was able to find such a place. The food and service was good. Had the Irish mixed grill, good food, generous quantity, reasonable price, good service by a friendly and attentive waitress.

Having been in Italy for about 2 weeks we were ready for some burgers or beef. We found the best spot! I had a delicious cheeseburger and fries and my husband had a beef stew. Both were delicious. We also had the best waitress we had had in all our trip in Italy. She was so friendly and happened to... More

Needed to find a Sports Bar in Rome to watch the Olympic Women's Soccer semi finals. The Abbey fit the bill perfectly. Great location. Great selection of drinks/beers, food was average. They were great in tuning the TV to our game.

I went in on a Sunday night as I was walking back to my hostel. The beer was a reasonable price for Rome but I couldn't find anywhere to sit or stand.I ended up in the only corner I could find free but the atmosphere was great.Tv's and sports everywhere and great music.

On first glance it seems like a nice place. Always busy, good music and good mixture of sports on TV. A nice place for the locals and non-Irish tourists to get the whole Irish pub experience. BUT, if you're looking for a nice pint of Guinness, Carlsberg or cider then stay far away. The staff haven't a clue how to... More

The pub takes its name from the world renowned Irish National Theatre, which was founded by William Butler Yeats and Lady Gregory.Stage props and costumes from the storerooms of the Abbey Theatre have been used in the decor, giving the pub a very special atmosphere. The six fully air conditioned rooms of the pub are spread over two floors, and a huge range of Irish whiskeys, cocktails and long drinks are on offer, as well as Irish beers on tap including, of course, the famous Guinness. The Abbey Theatre offers irish, italian and international cuisine all day everyday. We are able to show all major sports throughout the pub on 14 TV screens. ( NFL, Premiership, Serie A, Rugby World Cup...). The pub has a happy hour during the daytime, live irish music every week, and free Wi-Fi.The pub also offers private parties or weddings. Our welcoming pub, is considered one of the best in the city and it is laid out in typical Irish style with lots of little rooms linked by narrow corridors.
