This is very popular with locals and if you haven't booked be sure to get there when it opens at 7.15. The night we went there were only 3 tables for "walk ins". Good menu, nice food, good service and very reasonably priced.
Customer service at this place doesn’t exist! Went for an evening meal with my wife. We were pressed to make a selection even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. No help with the menu. My wife had finished her main course before mine arrived. Can’t comprehend...More
We have eaten here twice and will certainly return. Friendly local atmosphere, excellent food. I particularly enjoyed the mixed fried fish. All at unbeatable prices. Get there by 19:30 to be sure of a table.
This place was one of three recommended to us by our tour guide. As it was the closest to our hotel, we decided to check it out. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was also great. The place was packed with locals and tourists,...More
The only good thing about the restaurant is the price: ok, it’s cheap. But the food comes along with the price: cheap as well. The pasta was not well cooked, the chicken was below average.. I wouldn’t go back again.. there are so many good...More
Searching for restaurants that cater to locals is a sport in itself but we found one in IBA. Food, staff and atmosphere were superb. Value extremely high. This was one of the few establishments within a few blocks of our hotel so we were able...More
I can't fault the food. The pasta with vodka was gorgeous, as was the Saltambuca alla Romana; the French Fries were quirky and delicious. My wife's Sole was lovely, but very small portion and not worth €14. But what really annoyed me was asking for...More
We live in Rome and this restaurant is our favorite place for seafood. The service is excellent, very friendly. Fair price, excellent dishes.

First night in Rome. We found I buoni amici and we gave a try since it was full of people with happy faces. Quick service and very good, simple, genuine and traditional food. Antipasti di terra to share to start, carbonara, pasta with oxtail, water,...More
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
