We visited the restaurant for lunch with the family, including a vegetarian/gluten-free eater. The waiter was very helpful and created dishes for her. The food off the menu was traditional Italian food of high quality. And the dessert was freshly made pine-nut cake and Tiramisu,...both of which were great.More

We were wandering around thinking of going to McDonald’s. Went past La Cabana to avoid the crowds and decided to get in. I cannot recommend enough. For €53 we had starters (on the photo), pasta and dessert. The friti for starter was amazing (fried cheese...and vegetables) - and great to start an amazing meal. For main, my vegetarian partner had a ricotta and spinach ravioli and I had an amatriciana. The pasta was homemade at the restaurant and was cooked fresh (no premade sauces either). Dessert was brilliant (we had a tiramisu and a creme brûlée). Our waiter was great, very honest with food freshness. I can’t recommend enough if you’re in the neighbourhood and need something quiet and authentic.More

This restaurant made our stay in Rome pleasant. We were in the restaurant for a lunch, enjoyed very good pastas and especially at the end of the lunch the waiter offered us a table full of desserts to chose from. Excellent atmosphere and very friendly...waiter.More

I’m not sure where any of the bad reviews are coming from?! This restaurant was AMAZING. From beginning to end. Our waiter was lovely and so helpful in making dinner recommendations. We started with a Caprese salad with melt in your mouth mozzarella. The pasta...Amatriciana was the best I’ve ever had. Served with fresh Pecorino Romano cheese. Others had homemade fettuccine and meatballs as well as fettuccine with black truffles. Each dish was as good as the next. Will most definitely come back to La Cabana when visiting Rome!More

Stopped in here for lunch before visiting the Palazzo Venezia Museum. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The restaurant was beautiful and more elegant than I thought it would be. My wife had the ravioli stuffed with spinach with a white sauce with mushrooms and...bits of ham (delicious) and I had the veal in a lemon sauce. The veal was tender and the lemon sauce was great. The waiter spoke good English, was very friendly and helpful. Lunches were about 15 euro's each with 2 euros for bottled water. Not inexpensive but not bad considering what part of town we were in and how nice the restaurant decor. Skip the places on the main street with the hawkers outside and slip around the corner a short walk to this lovely, quiet place for really good roman food.More

Just couldn’t resist writing this review. Read reviews before we went, it is around the corner from our b&b. Over 900 good reviews against 60+ bad ones so odds were good. Really, really, really believe the negative ones. Our dinner visit at this restaurant was...done and over in 30 minutes. Me- steak, potatoes and salad, my wife - ravioli, all arrived in about 5 minutes after ordering. All very greasy. Ordered grilled salad, got fresh lettuce, carrot, tomatoes. €43 paid, no tip. They were not happy. I wasn’t too. The picture I’ve attached its what left after I’ve finished my steak, fat and blood and pointless piece of bread. When I’ve chosen this restaurant I really was believing those good reviews, sadly our experience was very different. We won’t be back.More

This restaurant was next to our hotel and given the cues in front of it for lunch and dinner we thought it must be good. And it was. Large menu options and basically you can’t go wrong here with a great choice of typical Italian...dishes and great wine selections. Make sure you are hungry; starter, main and desserts are all good!More

We had the Italian antipasti which was excellent. The mushroom bruschetta was tasty as well. Our secondi were ravioli and saltbocca and both were the best. Tiramisu and lemon meringue pie were great as well and homemade biscottis with coffee ended off our fabulous local...dinner.More
