Recommended to us by a friend and another great restaurant we frequent in Fiumicino. Small place, innovative menu, good quality, good wine selection, very friendly. My young south London visitors were most impressed. Book first, from the center take the no. 8 tram, get off at San Camillo.

This small restaurant improves a lot the food scene of the area. The staff is always warm, welcoming, smiling and courteous. Usually hey have a short menu although always with good choice between meat and fish dishes and including traditional food from Rome. Save a little bit of space for the delicious desserts. Wine selection is wide and of a... More

The highlight was definitely the mini tiramisu. This was given to us *after* a full 7 course tasting menu accompanied by complimentary liquor. Just a great dinner, with great service and a super friendly staff. The chef checked in on us a couple times and was super nice. For food, the octopus, quail (with bacon, onion and blue cheese, oh... Having come to Rome for a couple of times I tend to find the quality of the restaurants in the centre diminishing probably because the locals are being overcrowded by the many tourists. So I started to look for spots outside of the centre to try some of the cuisines. That's how I ended up in this suburb of Rome.... More

Really impressed with this restaurant based in fashionable Monteverdi. Easily missed if you stick to the centre but you not regret a special trip here for authentic quality food at very reasonable prices. We shared an excellent carpaccio followed by roasted belly pork and seared rose veal. An amuse Boucher was also thrown in which was a nice touch. The... More

This small out of the way place is worth the 15 minute cab ride from the center of Rome. Affordable and simply delicious. A must try is the tasting menu. It was all great! And the tiramisu in a jar was the best I ever had. See my pics. A must try in Rome, get out of the tourist traps... More

This restaurant was referred to us by the owner of the flat we were renting, we would never have found this locals place otherwise. Hands down the best meal we had the entire trip trip ! we had the tasting menu (30euros) and two carafes of wine (13 euros each) . The tasting menu was 7 courses long and each... More

We visited this small restaurant on recomendation of my friends from Rome last week. We've tried approximately 10 various starters - just to try out how the chef can suprise us. And he did. Excellent food, creative combinations... the best was hot pepper ice-cream with scampi.

We went here on the basis of a family recommendation. We showed up early, 845PM and were seated promptly. We quickly decided that the tasting menu was the way to go. The dishes were a mixture of traditional and new ideas, with pasta, fish, and meats. We paired some very lovely bottles of wine across the meal, and left happy.... More

We found this small restaurant in Monteverde neighborhood looking for a place where celebrate my father’s birthday. Without having read about this place here on Tripadvisor, probably we would never have found it because it’s in a residential area. Few tables, family service, not many dishes on the menu, which are synonymous of freshly made food. Combination of ingredients is... More

Staying in Monteverde

Neighborhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
