The pasta is just amazing, I am Italian and carbonara is my favourite pasta, so I was a little bit unsure of trying it in a restaurant as it's always disappointing (I only like my mum's one) ;) This one was just exceptional. My boyfriend who had the amatriciana wanted to order a second portion. The only one thing that... More

Menu was incredibly unclear, and as such my dish came out with food I can't eat. I sent it back and the second dish was good, however when the bill arrived they had charged us for the meal we returned. The staff then refused to take it off, stating that "that's how it is in Rome". Very rude and argumentative,... More

They actually got a good selection in both beer and food. I tried a local beer called BAI and had some pasta - they both impressed me. If you're in the area and don't want to hit the nearest tourist trap head over to Osteria Della Commari right away!

Our family ate there one evening, based on prior reviews. Our first waitress abandoned our table, after barely taking our order. She did serve us long enough to pour our first glass of wine, spilled it on the table, and just left it there. I cleaned it up myself. We ended up with another waitress. Our daughter ordered fettucine that... More

We chose to eat here based on Tripadvisor reviews so we knew they would be good. We actually thought they were great from lovely service, fabulous food and beautiful wine. The kids really enjoyed the meatballs, my brother in law on in heaven with cheek of veal, my sister jealously guarded her cheesy gnocchi, my husband enjoyed the carbonara and... More

Moments from the Vatican and a refreshing alternative to the tourist traps surrounding Vatican City. Perfect small bites and refreshing white wine for lunch. Highly recommend if you're in this area of town.

Very cosy place. We started with a fish of the day appetizer. It was a carpaccio of cod fish with cucumber and tomato. The fish was perfectly seasoned, and had lots of flavour. Excellent starter! As primi we ordered the ravioli filled with... today it was a filling with riccota cheese and spinach with a tomato sauce. Ravioli tasted fresh... More

This was among the top rated sit-down restaurants near the Vatican Museum and we were not disappointed. The beer was local and cold, the wine was excellent and reasonable and the Gripe was authentic. My wife's salad was fresh and even the kids fries were good, served in a paper bag no less.

We chose this restaurant as it was listed as one of the best restaurants near the Vatican. We did not feel welcome at all. the table beside us were Italians (one large group and one couple). They seemed to be having a wonderful experience and the food was bellisimo! The waitress spent ages explaining the desserts to them while all... More

The pastas only here are worth the stop! Perfect gnocci al pesto and spaghetti carbonara! The primi were really good, but for the secondi the portions were smalls. The service was also good!!
