If you appreciate professional and friendly service and quality food that has that something extra, eat here. Unique combinations of flavours, artistic presentation and generally a welcomed change from the stock standard restaurants that all seem the same after a few days. Kids loved it...too!More
Great place in the heat of Rome. Chef Giovanni is unique and the staff, Carlotta is very professional and friendly. Close to Fontana di Trevi you can’t throw a coin in the fountain and don’t pass by Le Tamerici. Highly recommended.
Who was in Rome knows that's not so easy to find a really good restaurant with nice food and a friendly service. I've now been two times in Le Tamerici and I must say, that this is definitely a nice place: fantastic food, excellent service...and a wonderful atmosphere. Absolutely recommendable.More
Good choice of food and wine. Not Michelin quality and I would say a little expensive for what is on offer, but far better than the usual fare on offer locally.
Yes, they cheated us( We had a dinner on 8 of october. I never check receipts, but this time I did. Instead of 154 EUR it was 228 EUR! No excuses from staff, of course. Finally, I paid 154 and left. They try to look...high-class, but in fact they are wasting guest's time and money. The worst experience in Rome((More
This is the resume of this nice place in Rome, I am glade I found it. Everything is so good and tasty and I assure you , you will come back, because I decided next year, I go there again.
From all the 8 restaurants we have been in Rome . This one was by far the worst.. Portions was toooo small and extremely overpriced. I mean over overpriced for the amount of food the serve. No we understood why we found a table easily.
I plan every restaurant to visit months ahead, and this restaurant had really good reviews, but recently they have missed. One item that really is sooo disturbing, they charge for bread even though you don't ask for it. So, I saw it at the bottom...of the menu, bread for 4 Euro, but they charged for each. 8 euros for 4 slices of bread. Crazy!!!! But they forgot to charge us for our app. Their are some interesting combinations, but they do not always click. One of our pastas, came out ice cold. We tend to eat early, like 7:30-8:00, so we were one of the only tables. The outside tables filled by the time we left.More
Let me begin by saying we have dined at many 1, 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants in the UK and abroad. We have just dined at Le Tamerici, Rome, by the Trevi fountain with a mixed experience. To begin the menu clearly does not...draw people in. Many potential customers walked past after looking at the menu. The issue is it is fine if you just want the tasting menu. But if you want a la carte then what is starter (apparently you can have a 24 Euro main course as a starter) and what is main is confusing. There is no wine list so to be told there was no Chardonnay but we could have Pinot was disappointing. In the end we had a Trebbiano but it was just average for 38 euros a bottle. The starter and mains were good, tasty but really small. My scallop dish was 24 euros and whilst delicious it had nothing but a scimming of pate with 3 scallops. No vegetables at all. Tasty but not worth the cost. The deserts were the biggest issue. We were told the Tiramisu was home made with home made ‘biscuits’. We knew all was lost when the waiter came in with several packets of supermarket trifle sponge wrapped in cellophane. When the deserts arrived we were shocked as whilst we like fresh food. Being served hot espresso over supermarket trifle sponges with a dollop of whipped cream and coffee powder on top was not good. We were charged 10 euros each for this injustice to Italian cuisine! So, your choice if you visit Le Tamerici. But if you want the best Tiramisu in Rome visit Cafe trevi 50 metres away, here you will taste Italian food like Mamma makes. A cafe admittedly but all home cooked whereby Tiramisu (to die for) costs 4 Euros with a view of the Trevi fountain (for free). Sorry Le Tamerici you need to be consistent to meet Michelin standards.More
