After walking through the Roman Forum, we came out towards Altare della Patria & were feeling bit hungry. On an impulse, we took the Tram near Piazza Venezia & got down at the next stop. While wandering there, we came across Caffe Camerino almost by chance. The Trip Advisor review was good so walked in for coffee & a light... More

We were staying in an apartment very close by and this was absolutely perfect for breakfast, we went three days in a row, 2 euro for a cappuccino and a truly excellent pastry standing at the bar, just right for us!! the staff were very friendly and didn't seem to mind that we did it a bit backward by ordering... This cafe was an ideal pit stop on our travels into Old Rome. Well located and serving excellent coffee and cakes. Staff were very helpful when asked about recommendations for nearby restaurants.

This is a low-paced, quiet, friendly restaurant a few lbocks north of Rome's Central Terminal for buses, trains and subways. The staff is unusually very helpful to travelerswho need awhile to drink, eat and relax from the heat and busy doings in Rome. I'll be back!

We went for a drink after lunch at this cafe as it had good reviews on trip advisor, however we were very quickly disappointed. They brought over our drinks with three large plates of snacks including one of wraps, we thought this was weird but when we received the bill we saw why. They charged us 9 euros for each... More

This was near our hotel and we walked past it a few times, it seemed like a nice café for lunch. The staff were being friendly but only because they wanted us to eat-in and order a two/three-course lunch. The other-half purchased a tuna baguette to take-away – dry bread, dry tuna, bland filling and no seasoning, it went in... More

Nothing to remember- you should have gelato at a place where they make it. These one tastes as any other ice cream.

This is now my favorite coffee location in Italy. The actual spelling is Cafffe Camerino, that's right - 3 f's in Cafffe. If you like chocolate order the caffe completo. After my second visit the barista knew my name. Supper friendly staff and good panini too. Take time to enjoy Rome and the people.

Sorry to read a few negative comments below, but our experience was excellent. Coffee served hot fast and delicious. Cakes were splendid, beyond yummy, staff brilliant, unusual for such a busy place. Loved it

Pastries were excellent. Come for the pastries. DO NOT come here for the lunch! Twice the price of the cafeteria a block away, and the food is tasteless. The vegetables were terribly overcooked. Awful! The servers were nice and the place is comfortable and has wifi.

Staying in Ghetto

Neighborhood Profile
The mini-neigborhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighborhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
