A great restaurant offering tardional Roman food including meat "alla brace" (BBQ). Testaccio is the area where locals go out for dinner untouched by tourists and offers an authentic yet modern Roman experience. The restaurant decor is fresh, eclectic and offers both indoor and outdoor experiences. I had diner in summer in the neurotically roof terrace.

We ordered some antipasti and they brought a variety of delicious dishes. Prosciutto and speck cut by knife , tempura style vegetables , crunchy croquettes ( my favorite) fried zucchini among others. The terrace is lovely specially during summer . The only bad thing was that the chimney of the grill brought smoke to the terrace but it wasn't that... More

Stunning location, off the beaten track- delicious typically Roman food ( lots of grilled meat- equally looked after our vegetarian diet brilliantly)- on a roof terrace under the pine trees and amongst olive trees lit by lanterns-ask for street side tables. Very atmospheric. Great meal.

We came to this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend and the hotel, so we had high expectations. The restaurant is furnished with old wooden tables and chairs, in an attempt to give it a feel of an old home. It felt like an old house with old furniture. I ordered a pizza and my wife ordered the spaghetti... More

Excellent food and service. The place is in modern design whit rough elements. The owners have a B&B at the center of the city and we stay there for 2 nights.

I enjoyed my time here with good food and a very good wine list. I always like to drink from a local selection when I travel and this was well provided for. I had an excellent Pinot Grigio for around 34€. Not a high price for a decent wine in a restaurant I don't think. Many were cheaper if that... More

All-in-all a good experience. Found the service, food and atmosphere to all be good and the total vibe of all elements of the dining experience to be positive. In this touristy area this restaurant felt largely authentic and was patronized primarily by Romans.

The place is a renovated and well decorated of used to be an old barn. Food was 10/10! A 5 course buffet of italian exclusive dishes. This is not a high class restaurant where you should expect a waiter over your shoulder, but they definitely pay attention to the quality of the dishes. The only disadvantage, the restaurant is not... More

We visit Rome last month. We travel with a local during our flight and he recommended this restaurant. Before we visit we had some dinners and lunch under average and we list our faith in Italian cuisine. We arrived there with low expectations but we surprised totally. The best food we had in Rome and one of the best outside... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
