Hardly to find, but it's totally worth looking for! Lovely and helpful staff, local atmosphere, and first of all - delightful, italian food! Home made wine completed the deliciousness. Prices are also passable - 40 eu for a dinner for 2. If you want to try truely italian food, visit Taverna Romana :)

Was recommended this place by our B&B. Was very happy we decided to go. The pasta was delicious and service very quick. All at a very good price. We arrived at 7pm and glad we did as it filled up very fast.

Last time I was here about a week ago. This little, convivial eatery features a nice mixed menu, composed of Roman classics along with excellent recipes from central and southern Italy. The location in charming via della Madonna ai Monti is perfect if you are visiting the beautiful, fancy neighbourhood, and you want something real and not overpriced. Friendly service,... More

Excellent food at affordable prices! We ate spaghetti carbonara and fettuccine with ragu and both were excellent. However, the dishes were on the small side. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Good traditional Roman food. Kind service, fair price. I loved the Tripe and the Amatriciana, with real pork cheeks

We went here as it was recommended by our host but it was our least pleasant meal in Rome. Maybe they were too busy or something but we felt like we were an inconvenience for them. We would have been fine with the hanging around for a table and the indifferent service if the food had been great. It wasn't!... More

If, after visiting the Foro Romano, you exit it on Via Cavour, search for this restaurant to have lunch or dinner (beware, the resto closes at 15:00 for the afternoon to open later for dinner). It is well worth it: a few but delicious, no nonsense dishes in an authentic (yes, crammed) space. We shared a cazzimperio (sliced raw veggies... More

Small place yes but this is no tourist trap. Fantastic, honest Roman food cooked beautifully, with reasonable prices and friendly service. Really.. just great.. worth the short jaunt to skip the horrible traps that line the local streets! Try the buccatini or Saltimboca.. lovely!!

This is a very decent restaurant which serves authentic Roman fare. The menu is not huge (usually a sign that the food is fresh), and everything is simple but very tasty. Do not expect high class, either in the presentation of the food, the service or the surroundings. In fact you are packed like sardines with tables almost touching each... More

They offer a simple, but well made selection of pasta dishes. Our lunch experience here was easily the best in Rome. The ricotta cake was sublime.
