Fantastic neighborhood restaurant...our best meal in Rome! The veal scallopini was delicious, but the meatballs were the most incredible any of the four of us had ever eaten! There aren't many restaurants in Italy that have meatballs, usually a bolognese sauce...so be sure to order them, you won't regret it! Friendly service, great wine...already ready to go back!

I'll start by saying that the food was delicious, but the service was terrible and ruined the entire experience. Firstly, the waitress was clearly sick as she walked around the restaurant blowing her nose. She even approached one table with the dirty tissue in her hand. Very off-putting when you're about to order. Secondly, we know that servizio is a... More

We shared a salad, main course, appetizer and desert. Each was great. items were prepared fresh except for the panacotta (but it was still very nice, and fruit topping was fresh). House white wine, hot tea (my wife is particular about tea) and brusciatta. were all great too. Lots of locals and tourists alike. violin player strolled threw too. Staff... More

Bruschetta and carbonara were mediocre, lasagna delicious, chicken with lemon sauce was tasteless (needed salt and pepper to be eaten), chicken with mozzarella and prosciutto was really delicious, salad with rocket, mozzarella, tomatoes and olives was fresh and refreshing, staff was friendly.

You would expect to be served with your pizzas within minutes of each other. Instead one was brought to the table and after several minutes taken away since it was the wrong pizza! Although this pizza was burnt it looked better than the one that eventually replaced it... It was then another five to ten minutes before the other two... More

We came about this restaurant purely by trip advisor reviews and because it was about a 10 minute walk from our hotel in Rome (Hotel Doria on via Merluana). I'm so glad we took the chance and dined here because it was just wonderful and reasonably priced. It's a small restaurant but family owned and was packed with locals (always,... More

Friendly and very helpful waitress, lovely head chef that took great care of us. Food was like a home cooked meal from nonna.

Il Nipotino was recommended by our B&B owner. He said that his family dines at Il Nipotino. It was an enjoyable meal. Food was tasty. The house red wine was acceptable. Overall, good value. We would dine here again.

We initially stopped at this place as it was full. The food looked fabulous and they served stuffed zucchini flowers. We ate here twice having enjoyed the meal so much. Great service, friendly and helpful and great ouse wine too.

This restaurant was AMAZING! So good in fact, we came back again for more. The food was cooked by a mother and served by her daughter. The daughter's English was almost flawless, and this was most useful as she decided to describe the gorgeous antipasti and the regions it came from. The carafe of wine was very affordable. The Pizza... More
