We spent 5 days in Rome and visited this restaurant every day. The service was excellent- particularly from the young guy who was super friendly and polite and even ensured we got "our" table on the third night, despite being busy. There is a certain art to the perfect carbonara, with the need for all elements to be executed with... More

This is a charming small restaurant hidden away on a cobble stoned street. The service was more then excellent and the food outstanding. We shared Petto di pollo alla ciociara (Chicken with mozzarella and ham), Polpette di manzo al sugo (Beef meatballs in tomato sause), Rigatini griciae pistacci (Rigatoni with beacon, Pecorino cheese and pistachio) and a bottle of red... Had a great meal at this small and friendly restaurant. Really friendly waitress and we had bruschetta to start at 2 Euros and I had meatballs in spaghetti and my wife has fettucine bolognese- really nice Italian food cooked well - house red also good and I had a lovely pannacotta with blueberries. Reasonably priced and we enjoyed the experience.... More

This is a find! Hidden in a back street it is not something you just pass by. It is worth finding however. The staff is friendly and there is always a smile, the food is reasonable priced and most importantly, it tastes excellent! The restaurant have manybe about 25-28 seats so it might be recommended to try to make an... More

I went to this restaurant when in Rome last week. It was amazing...I am not a pizza eater but you know, I was in Italy and it was a family restaurant, so I thought why not... I was not disappointed at all; the pizza was amazing - it was the special on a focaccia base; so mozzarella, anchovies, rocket salad... More

Based on the reviews of TripAdvisor we went to Il Nipotino del Solitario. Also we had to pay the coperti fee (was found on the last page of the menu). No problem to pay 1.50 each but the food and service was not that special. The lasagna was even cold on the inside

Our hotel(Il Cosmopolita ) told us about il Nipotino del solitario as we were looking for something special and local food. Delicious, rich and hearty food. Staff friendly, we highly recommend this amazing Trattoria Pizzeria.
