There was only a few people at the restaurant but because of the good review on tripadvisor we decided to give it a chance. We had a spaghetti carbonara and the house homemade pasta with spicy salami. The pasta was not cooked enough and it tasted like something you can buy frozen from the supermarket and cook in a microwave.... More

This is a traditional Roman style restaurant that serves home-made pasta with the highest quality. We were five and had the Bolognese (one of the best we ever had), pasta with truffles (great) and Al'arbiatta (another great dish). Food was absolutely great and in reasonable prices. The problem was with the service... There is one, grumpy waiter that seems to... More

We ate at this restaurant over the course of our seven day vacation in Rome numerous times. The wait staff is incredible, some of the friendliest most genuine people in Rome! The food is also tremendous, great foods of all kinds. On our last visit one of our waiters gave us a complimentary bottle of wine! Extremely clean restaurant, somewhat... More

We really liked the food here. Ordered the carbonara, putanesca and the caprese. All the food was very good. It's right next door to the famous gelato place, Giolitta.

Atmosphere was great ! Felt like a real Roman kitchen . Tasted like grandma cooked . Service was fabulous . A little pricey for a family but would go again in a heart beat .

Wandered in by mistake and what a happy surprise. The pasta carbonara was fantastic. The noodles was cooked perfectly. The fettuccini funghi was also extremely tasty. Very reasonably priced!

We walked in without a reservation around 8 and they were able to seat us right away. They serve good authentic Italian and the service was great.

Visited here 3 nights ago and very glad we did. Friendly welcome and excellent service despite my lack of Italian. (They do speak English, but when in Rome....)Food was superb and the wine we had (being drunk by the locals at the next table) was lush. Would highly recommend paying a visit.

Found this restaurant on a wet Sunday afternoon. It is absolutely beautiful inside. A very pleasant lady served us. The food was excellent and the house Red @€12:00 a bottle was very reasonable and very good. For such fine food in the centre of Rome it was well worth it and surprisingly inexpensive. We sat in a corner table and... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
